What does it have seriously against the Revolution, so far it seems that Sony is going to do what they do best produce another unorignal console, name and games. Come sony has many cant they pay someone min wage to come up with a more orignal name, just look at the progression (PS1,PS2,PS3) it could just be me but do i see reptition in there? Its gonna be a very VERY VERY bad launch cause ppl are expecting $500 WTF is that??? not even the 'Expletive Deleted' age group that sonys targeting have have a G to waste on an inferior console. My advice to sony, just support the hell out off ps2 while ya can and then pull out. The Revolution has alot more new and intrestig technology for not only controlling but also visually. http://www.cube-europe.com/news.php?nid=6780

Gotta question for PS3
-
07-31-2004 #2
Personally I think PS3 is the logical thing to call the next PlayStation. I mean imagine giving it a stupid nick name or something. It would flop! Now PlayStation 4, that just won't happen. They will drop the PlayStation name before they release their next big thing. I think naturally going up to '3' makes sense, but anymore than '3' and it's getting a bit silly.
I don't think it's fair to call PS3 an inferior console because neither console is out yet, so you really can't judge which is better. And even if you did, each is going to have their good points and their bad points. I'm sure Nintendo will do well at making lot's of children across the world happy, but it's fair to say that that seems the most likely thing they will do. It's unlikely they will be able to compete with Sony on sales for the console. Plus the technology for the PS3 is looking very impressive. Sony have spent nearly one and a half billion dollars on the PS3's processor unit alone.
And please don't swear Big N. This is a public forum where very young people can go as well, so I've edited your post slightly. Oh, and I've resized you avi for you. Aren’t I nice?
Thanks

Big N, your such an idiot. If your going to post here, first thing you'll have to realise is that most of us like the other consoles. We might prefer the PS2 but that doesnt mean we dont play the X-box or Gamecube. So leave your fanboy mentality at the door.
Now as for unoriginal console...hmm if you cant see why they are sticking with the same name then you are trully a moron. It's not a matter of having a new catchy name every console generation, it's a matter of sticking with a familiar brand name. Got it now? That's why you'll hear such comments as the "Sony hype machine" The name alone builds up hype for the Playstation. It's pointless to have a name change when the name your using is helping sale consoles.
As for console price. No one has a clue what the console is going to launch at, not even the "so called experts". Most likely it'll be $300 though. A $500 console launch has never worked in the past so Im sure Sony is aware by now it wont work now.
As for the Revolution, no one even knows what the console will be about you dolt! Neither do we know enough about the next Xbox or Playstation 3. You cant draw any conclusions about the next nintendo console except that it's problly going to be more powerfull graphically than the last one. You cant logically say it has better technology when you dont know what the tecnology is.
Your are pathetically mis-informed..now shoo!

Alright, alright. Calm down. No need to go over the top. I'm seeing slight shades of Omega Blue in you there
But I do agree with what your saying Blake.

Hey Hey clam down there chubs
Heres a little something which PS insiders know, and i know this simply cause i used to work for them. And now i hate them, but something ppl dont know, 2 years when working on the new graphics technology for PS3 the designers screwed up the graphics technology internally and werecset back to basic 8-bit. $300 launch? for PS3 not going to happen PSP is goign for $250 and the PS3 at launch will be $425 and one month after that the price will drop to 400 psp down another 25 2 months after launch. Ive worked with them good bunch but i hate Coprate sony so now i hate all things Sony. F*ck corprate sony kicked me out!!

So you were the janitor of such a prestigous company? I look up to you, I really do. Who want's to bet what this guy just said is incredibally false? The chip going all the way back to 8 bit? Ya right. Admit that you have no clue what the PS3 launch price will be, no one does.

I’m going to go with rich on this one, this is defiantly one for the hall of shame
unless you can provide us photo's that satisfy us big N"Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former."

08-01-2004 #11Post some pictures then, nothing you show is going to keep me from purchasing the PS3 anyways. The fact is, your backed into a corner...everybit of your argument has been based on mis leading people and your own ridiculous beliefs without any shred of proof. The worst part is you predict the Revolution to be substantially greater than the PS3 yet we know very little about Nintendo's next console.

Yipee! A fourth addition to the Hall of Shame.
Big N, there have been rumors of the PSP costing 500$ and PS3 700$. That was all just false info of course. If you remember, everybody thought the ps2 was gonna cost 400$ in 1999, but that was all just a big useless hype.
And if it IS 475$, im still gonna buy it. Nintendo's gonna need a helluva comeback to be a substatial competitor for MS and Sony. So far, MS and Sony have left Nintendo dead in the dirt. Only fanboys like you still syick with it saying its better.
No mp3 capabiliti, no dvd playin capability, no CD-R playing capability, its got 9 or 10 good games that are only for its system. It has one feature that PS2 doesnt have, 4 controller slots, but thats what XB is for.
Sure, its a GOOD system, but its no match for MS or Sony's systems. If its not now, then what makes you thenk the REVOLUTION will be a match for the 2 companies? To be truly competitive, they have to change their mini cd carts into real DVD's, oh yeah, i forgot, Sony has Blu Ray, MS has HD-DVD, what does Nintendo have? Nothing at the moment. And if they DO make it compatible with CD-R, CD-RW, mPEG, mp3, and DVD, that means it cant be backward compatible.
Unless nintendo makes two areas to put in the games, one for GC gaes, another for Revolution games....but it will increase size, and most of all.........$$$$.
I hope i made a point.

The Wall
Set on earth, 300 years after a global catastrophe that changed the world forever, three factions form a delicate balance of power in the new world: the Fascists, the Seperatists, and the Church. The fascist new government rules by fear and military power. The seperatist's movement is a tribal society of fierce warriors that live in the ruins of old cities and dwell underwater. Finally, the Church, it is a secret sect of which almost nothing is known.
A master plan has finally been set in motion, after over two millenia, to take out these societies. Will this be a final end, a final beginning, or man's final fall?
One man is the key to it all...
In this game, you play as member of a small resistance cell, who must fight against battling factions to ensure a much needed peace.
With scores of different weapons, each being individually customizable, the player, playing throughout the course of the game, will discover his purpose and true identity. Along the way, he will have to face this darkest fears and deepest desires, and in the end, the decision of the player will determine the outcome of the game.
The Wall is loaded with lots of features, including:
• FPS in a futuristic, however familiar world
• Destructible objects
• Upgradeable and customizable weapons
• Weapon and Item sets give the player special abilities
• Over 30 different weapons
• Secret bonus missions
• Different missions depending on players decisions
• More than 20 levels
• More than 15 different locations
• Combat your enemy over and underwater
• Control team mates in selected missions
• Drive and control vehicles
• Enhanced enemy AI
• Immersive storyline with suspense, surprises and romance
• Top-notch 3D graphics Engine
• From the makers of Übersoldier
The first person shooter genre has seen little true innovation in the last few years, but The Wall is looking like it will take FPS's a step forward, with an immerse storyline, which allows players to determine the outcome, and a new and unique weapon system which will give this game an RPG feel to it.
There is no official release date yet for this game but it is scheduled for sometime in 2008, and from the looks of the game, it will be worth the wait. We will update this page as new information is available, and stay tuned for a PS3Land.com exclusive Q&A with the developers of this game.

Could you find some images please? And if possible, create the 80x80 thumbs as well. Then I'll be able to get this up quickly.

Ok, I sent a copy of my preview to the developers, and they helped me make it better, so here's the FINAL piece.
