The game is sucking hardcore... people are looking elsewhere.

I loved it for the first 4 years. I doubt anything will ever compete but it's a totally different game now.

I've been playing since the first month of release, with an all up approximate 10 months of non-subbing period. I stopped playing a few weeks back. The heavy concentration of dailies really killed it for me and am burnt out by them. Plus all that social media type focus, just gets too much. I tried logging on the other day, but just couldn't persuade myself to hit 'submit' lol. Those first four years were epic, however. That sense of adventure and exploration was just immense.

Seems like patch 5.3 is coming tomorrow.
Yeah, the dailies are killing the game, but luckily i've got people to play with and that keeps the game reletivly fresh for me. Didn't enjoy the Throne of Thunder so roll on the Seige of Orgrimmar!

    5.3 Patch Notes.

    How's 5.3, MedicDog?

I still can't get back into it - got in to log in screen, but I go 'meh, stuff it for now'. I am spewing, though, because I love WoW's lore, and the siege would be epic. But I feel I just can't do more of the dailies.

Cancelled sub last night. Haven't touched it in months now. Just in time, too, as my card was slated to be charged today lol. My brother also stopped his sub, too.

I'll come back to it upon a new xpac, but I won't get sucked in again. I've loved the game almost like no other (TLoU woke me up lol); and I love the older lore, but the game itself, as it is now, just doesn't have that magic anymore.

haha! It's like not having the pet around the home, or having to throw an endearing object away because it's broken or something and so you grudgingly throw it out. Meh, for the better, I'll invest in psn+ or something

Lol that new expansion it utter garbage. You can instant to lol 90 seriously? Time travel lol they really like making up lore now. I mean this game is pretty much a f2p mmorpg with a sub attached.

Wanted to try this game.. But I just cannot be arsed paying every month just to play a game. I prefer one time pay and perhaps later pay a small amount for more content, but not to play the game.

Not meant as in COD and the DLC, but meant as in The Secret World.
Buy the game, pay once and play as much as you want.
If you want more content you can buy more issue-packs.

You can try Neverwinter for an mmorpg fix. I think the PVP in that game is awful but it gets people through for the wait that is EQN. lol

what's funny is that they say that there are millions of subscribers to WoW, but even a buddy of mine that is on it currently is saying that the servers are basically dead, which I believe. in that case, might as well wait till a better mmorpg hits the shelves.

    Yeah.
I've got a few people around me who played a couple of MMORPG's and they all said that WOW is not THAT amazing and that there's others out which are F2P and even better.

I started with the MMORPG genre with The Secret World, as I was just so much interested in the whole process before (the hints and such) and eventually the release of it. I loved every second of it, though after playing a few more (f2p) mmorpg's I now realise a few things should've been different, but still.

Maybe if WOW becomes F2P or one pay only (the game).. Then I'll definitely give it a try :P

I've been playing on and off (mostly on) for the past 4 or so years, mainly pvp. I can't knock the game, it's offered me hours and hours of entertainment, but I've gotten bored of it lately. Same old grind, day in and day out. Perhaps I'll pick it back up when the new xpac comes out?

Anyone know of another MMO with a good pvp experience?

So it is confirmed you can buy lvl 90 characters for $60 so WOW is officially a sub mmo with f2p elements. What happened to you WoW.

I thought you had made a mistake with the free boost for one character to lvl 90. Had to check it out for myself. I'm flabbergasted...

I'd started playing in a big way again from about October through to January, haven't touched in about 4 weeks now. But the news you've announced has me severely disappointed.

I logged on on Saturday for about 5mins. Went on my lvl nelf warrior. Did some engineering, then headed to the FM at Darn. Open up quest log. Looked at bags. Logged off...

But it still holds an endearing place in my gaming heart
