MG Acid doesn't look too bad at all. Infact it looks pretty good, but then again what else would you expect from Hideo Kojima and the MGS team?

The graphics are horrifying! meaning it's good...lol
I think that that's the best graphics it could probably take

Um PS3, I dont think you really proved anything with that pic. Somebody look up an article on the game, there will be something said about the actual gameplay. And yes the graphics are nice as for being the best graphics the PSP can take, Im sure it can handle a little more.

08-13-2004 #9Stop being so immature PS3. Blake is only trying to help and he's right that post didn't really help. Blake does support what he says with fact which is really important, something which some members on this board may want to emulate.

Ok I think the PSP can handle a little more because if you take a look at history you'll realise every consoles best years are it's last. Every handhelds best years are it's last. Every year a console/handheld is pushed more and more to it's peak. Graphics get better on a console/handheld as time progresses. Ofcourse the PSP architecture is problly somewhat basic so I could be absolutely wrong.
PS3 what I said didnt hardly require an essay, if someone had asked why I thought it could handle more I would of glady stated my reasons for believing so. The thing that bothers me is when people try to sound all knowing and make a couple of comments, then dont really explain a thing. They dont pull up information or look at history to draw their conclusions but just spout stuff out that goes no where. I have a history here so when I make a comment like that Im sure people are going to believe I have a steady reason for making the comment...and if they want to ask me to explain I will. You however still have to prove yourself on these boards so if you want to make conclusions back yourself up...otherwise find another way to contribute to the boards.

I dunno? Enhancers are there such a thing?
PS2 had it's years the first two, Xbox is shining brightly and is strong against PS2...Xbox graphics have been used to the max with Tecmo's series...PS2 has been used to the max with GTA series...and let's just skip that other console...
-I dunno?

Graphics pushed to the max on GTA? GTA graphics are very bland due to the size of the maps. I would think of something more like the Gran Turismo series or Madden as examples of PS2 being pushed to it's max.

so is the game gonna be totally turn based or is it just some parts?and if it is all turned based how do the battles initiat then.
Let me guess, you picked out yet another colorful box with a crank that I'm expected to turn and turn until OOP! big shock, a jack pops out and you laugh and the kids laugh and the dog laughs and I die a little inside.

I found this info on Gamespot. It explains how the cards come into play and that its all turn based. I think its a neat idea, how Kojima rewrote the way he made games and seem to do a good job at it.
"If you're a Metal Gear fan but you're put off by the card-battling concept, you should find solace in the fact that the game provides a seamless tutorial segment that's wrapped up in the introduction of the storyline, and it gets you up to speed on the gameplay quickly. You'll be dealt a hand of cards from your deck at the beginning of your turn, and you can use the items or abilities listed on the cards or sacrifice them to move around the isometric mission areas. The gameplay is easy to grasp and fits in well with the overall Metal Gear milieu. Here's the deal: You've got Solid Snake, and he has a mission to accomplish. You have a certain number of points per turn that you can expend on actions that will help you complete that mission. Some actions cost more points than others, and when you hit zero points, you'll have to rest while any bad guys in the area take their turns. To invoke a particular action, you'll need to play its corresponding card, assuming you have enough points left in that turn to cover the cost. As you'd expect, every time you play a card, you lose it, so you've got to choose wisely or risk finding yourself in a bad situation."
More info and articles of the game are at: http://www.gamespot.com/psp/strategy.../previews.html

Wow that seems a lot better than i though it would, but i hope that finding the cards isn't to hard, and that there are some basic moves that you can always use, like the neck snap. anyways i will definately be getting this game.

20GB PS3 still plays in full 1080p
20GB PS3 still plays in full 1080p
By: Justin Pinter
Many gamers have been talking lately about how the 20gb PlayStation 3 may not be able to play in full 1080p resolutions. Well, now people can relax because Sony has officially announced that all games and movies will play in 1080p resolutions.
Due to the 20gb PS3 not having HDMI outputs, many believed that the
movie industry's "Image Constraint Token", a copy protection technology, will downgrade a movie to 540p if the Blu-ray player is not connected to a HDTV via a HDMI cable.
Sony came out and stated that the "Image Constraint Token" is optional in Blu-Ray movies and not to worry because the movie industry will not incorprate the "Image Constraint Token" until about 2010-2012. Also Sony comforted gamers by adding that all PS3 games will not include the "Image Constraint Token" and will be able to enjoy all their games in 1080p.

This is not completely true, Sony has dropped ICT, but there are still some companies that have not.
http://biz.gamedaily.com/industry/feature/?id=12767
Your article should not say that it's definately going to happen. Also, you should clarify what ICT is a little more, I didn't understand what you meant until I read another article on this.

Dusty, only Warner Bros has said they may use ICT...every other studio has backed out for now. Originally, they said there may be a one or two year grace period for people to start getting HDMI TVs, but now they are suggesting ICT won't be used until 2010 or 2012.
Although you're right, we need a better explanation of ICT. At the moment, I'm struggling to see how different this is to what I've already put in the FAQ.

I thought I explained that ITC downgrades the resolution to 514p if its not connected to HDMI output and that its a anti piracy technology that movie companies are going to use but not until 2010....thats a pretty good explaination right there.
as for what Bhav posted in the FAQ...i didn't know that you posted that in there...srry.

I recommend using the following site to help you pad out the article a bit more:

Focus more on the 2010/2012 part.
