Seems those early screens were nothing but conversation pieces. Kind of like KOTOR. Graphics were great in a conversation or cinema, but once you got to the action everything turned a little " meh ".

Im being serious, i think some people are going to be SO dissapointed with the NEXT generation of consoles, as in the 360 and ps3. This is an amazing game, and looks easilly as good As ANYTHING ive seen on ANY PLATFORM, and i mean ANYTHING. You name the title and this game looks as good.

Omg this game looks so freaking sick! I should remind you guys that the cutscene usually do look better than the gameplay...which is why they haven't shown us a zoomed facial detail other than in the cutscenes. But it still looks freaking sick! I love the fluid animations.

Hold your horses there buddy, I wouldn't try to match the graphics with MGS4 (even though it does look better than MGS4 but not necessarily better in art direction or style) because they are completely different games...MGS4 is a lot more about physics and geometry (destructable environments, camoflauges, complex A.I. etc) and not much about graphics even though they do look very next gen.

I think this is an amazing looking game but I've seen better games coming out on PS3 in the next year or so...it definitely holds its own against them though.

I honestly think this game looks better than gears in some places, and defo looks as good in nearly every aspect.

I wouldn't comment about the graphics because I haven't seen enough videos to really get the scope of it but I definitely think that this game is hell of a lot bigger than Gears of War. Also bigger environments and looks interesting...much more interesting than 5 months ago.

You guys do realize that still probably 80% of that still isn't gameplay on that video, right? I mean when they do show gameplay around the last 20% of the video, it's choppy and the animations are pretty chunky. The framerate takes a huge hit, and watch the character animation. Just watch the last 20% of that video to see where the game stands now, not the other parts. Totally different quality at the end.

Just a hint. When the camera is panning, and YOUR character is walking away from the camera or talking, it's scripted and not gameplay.

I wish people would understand the difference. Same thing with Gears of War. When they're talking, do you notice that the animations are WAYYYY more fluid, their eyes move more, and their facial expressions change more realistically? That's in real time, but it's not gameplay. They use 2 totally different versions of character models and quality in general for interactive and non interactive parts of the game.

Just watch the first Sony press conference of the PS3 and watch the real time Unreal Tournament demo. That was all 100% real time, but it's not going to ever look that good and fluid in action. At least not until the Xbox 720 or the PS4.

I just love the idea of being able to explore the universe . Go to any planet , conquer civilisations . Its just sick and what's more the graphics are outstanding . I just hope that there's infinte ways of customising the main character .
That MTV footage is sick . I'm so digging this game .

*Edit* . Ah geez , i just love that whistling sound your gun makes when you reload in that MTV footage . Awesome costumes and that energy field you toss at opponents . Crickey Moses , i've got to have this game.

apparently you can customize the land vehicle as well....with the main character I haven't heard alot but I think it will have the same kind of stats and skills ...plus some other kind of magic? tech? thing they have talked about in the vids...

I agree. I was playing through Gears Of War last night and after I watch the cutscenes(which is gorgeous, btw. Even on SD), I noticed that during gameplay, the character models are a lil less detailed than the ones you see during the cutscenes. I can't say the same for Mass Effect though because I haven't seen the video.

Regarding UT2K7, it might not look that good or fluid simply because it's Unreal Tournament. The game is fast-paced(no point for realistic fluidity there) and the graphical limit is acceptable at best. The character models doesn't have to be super detailed like the UT PS3 demo. It'll probably be at the level of GeOW's gameplay character models and that's already impressive considering the amount of mayhem you're gonna see onscreen.
