Thoughts on the PSP

I don't think I've posted this before, but I bought a PSP for my sister and so far, she likes it a lot, and uses it for music often as well. I'm not as interested in it as she is :P

The only advice I have is to not get the white one. It might look funky, but the back gets dirty really easily and starts to turn grey in no time -.- I guess the only pro about the colour is that scratches on the front don't show up as easily as on the black one.

Yeah that is why I never want a white version of any console...it is getting dirty so easily. And with a PSP, I am not sure how to get it clean...

What you do is you rub your fingers all over it. Then, you can't see scratches or anything anymore, because there are fingerprints everywhere.

There is a lot of news about the DS owning PSP. Right now, those rates hold true in Japan currently, but PSP sales are still next in line (portable and entire gaming hardware front) in terms of sales. HAHAHAHA, you are an idiot. Where did you get this information. The Ds is kicking the PSP's ass all around the world. Sales are still 3:1 In DS favour. so do a little research before posting man.

Ohh and i am not that big a ds fan. i own both a psp and DS lite. Must say however the ds is a lot more funner.

Ohh and dude in places like US, Europe and Australia (my country) the 360 has been outselling the PSP. The Ds lite raped europes sales. and europe is sonys biggest market lol.

nah after seeing that dumb post i had to sign up just to reply. And Psp has not sold 20 million. And dude have you seen tha japanese game sales this week. TOP TEN all DS titles

Um sephiaya... you are wrong, sorry.

The PSP has shipped 20 million units. I am not saying it has sold 20 million units, but it would of sold approximately 15 million.

The DS, has sold over 22 million. That is definitely not 3:1, and closer to what EbonySeraphim said.

Also the Xbox 360 has sold less than 5 million units. Way away from the PSP.

EDIT: I don't know the facts, but I don't think the 360 is outselling the PSP here in Australia. I know no one who has a Xbox 360, whereas two of my friends (and myself) have a PSP. (Though that isn't enough to base it on)

The only thing I agree with you on, is that the DS is going better than the PSP in Japan.

I do think though, that the PSP will become more popular in Japan soon, as some new titles coming out on the PSP, will interest people in Japan.

At one point i was about to buy a PSP and i wouldnt mind one right now either.
I then diverted all funds towards the ps3.
Personally i dont like the idea of a new psp coming out with a little hard drive when the original one needs expensive memory sticks.

But, that is a good choice to save for the PS3.

I got my psp a year ago.Use it mostly as a multimedia device because there arent that many good games, but im really waiting for MGS psp.

I love lumines, but i havnt played to many other On the go games that i like.
So i havnt been playing ym psp much...its still cool and neat but i find myself not playing it.

Playgear pockets are life savers. I dropped it at the bus stop thurday, and it was like nothing ever happened to it. Couldn't say the same if it wasn't in it's case.

I own a PSP, and i love it, got it for christmas last year. I only got 3 games, GTA LCS, Socom and Syphon filter, they are all great games.

GTA LCS: well, its a portable GTA!!! theres no need to say something else!
Socom: Nice missions and 16 player online, pretty good.
Syphon Filter: Awesome single player, good storyline and 8 player online.

I got a 2 GB card and im happy i got it, now i use my PSP to play music a lot.

i read somewhere that it will have an 8Gb HDD, and for the rest nothing is changed, was this a rumour?

Just got a PSP!!!

The screen is amazing, I can't beleinve how big it is, reminds me of my last handheld, a SEGA Game Gear..lol..

I got the Entertainment Pack, it was well worth the extra $50, because I already have a Mini USB cable handy...

I'm going to use this mainly for video & photos, i'm not a huge gamer, I'll probably only buy Metal Gear & Syphon Filter...

Why Would the PSP2 have a HDD it will shorten the already short battery life!!

And they will be rolling out with 8GB Mem Sticks proDuos early next year (early Feb 2007). then the 16GB (i think, or it could be 12GB) mid next year.

And if you do, could you PLEASE post pictures, i need to see how it looks in "real life" and now just on those psp ads, thanks on advance

oh, can you choose you background pictures yourself? lets say i have a picture on my computer that i would like to have as a background image on my psp, is it possible?
