ok here is my situation.. I have 490 dollars right now.. I will be getting 50 dollars from my fiend (which he owes me).. and I will be getting 40 from my brother.. Now this makes it 580 dollars..
If I get the 499 one, then I can buy a game.. if I get the 599 (my uncle works at sears, so he gets a discount so no tax basically).. then I can't buy a game..
Oh what should I do?... I was thinking getting the 499 one.. I mean I can use my laptops HDD (which I don't use anymore).. which is about 80 gigs.. So the 60 gigs would be useless to me..
the only other things that the 60 gb has is WIFI , which is REALLY important to me.. but the thing is I live with my Dad right now, (who has a wireless router).. and I am going to move to my bothers home.. who doesn't have a wireless router..
So the wifi goes away.. then now.. I only have the memory card slots.. Do you think it is worth a hundred bucks for that? And we might get a wireless router too.. So that's where it hurts again. =P
I REALLY want to get a 60 gig one.. to get all the benefits.. of it.. but then I am thinking is it really worth it? If my brother does get a wireless router would it be worth it? Does the 60 gig one have an ethernet cable? And I am sure I don't HAVE to connect wirelessly with the 60 gig right?.. I can connect with the ethernet cable until we get a wireless router right?
Sorry for all the questions.. and I know there have been many threads like this, but it would be a great help if you guys lead me in the right direction.

yes
get the 60GB, you will not regret it. The wif is wort a lot, it really is. you might not need it TODAY, but sometime in the next 7 years you will (aka, before ps4 comes out) and your only option will be to buy a 60gb ps3 all over again

You can use a USB adapter for the wireless and personally idc bout the cards the only thing thats tearing me apart, is the remote play feaute. Because I have a PSP and you never know what Devs have in store for it through the PS3.

Slightly OT but: Are you sure your uncle can get you a discount on it so soon?
And go with 60, may as well go all out, right?

I would reccommend the 60, but try getting your hands on it.

Lord please have sympathy, and forgive Michael Young History

The only real difference between the two is storage space, I mean the front memory slots are nice and all, but with Red Kawa's file server program there really isn't much need for it.
If you see yourself using the PS Store a lot for downloads , try and wait for the 60

just do what I'm gonna do and buy whichever one you can find although most likely it will be a 20g and id rather have a 60 but w/e i'll make that decision when i see a 20g sitting there for me.
