anyone here play Lost Planet MP Demo?

i heard from some people that it didnt live up to expectations but i just downloaded it today and played a round, i was very impressed with the effects and what was happening on the screen. So far my only problem was the aiming was a little weird but it was all right.
i'll play some more later tonight but so far i like it.

I dislike it alot, they move to slow, to hard to distinguish friend from foe, aiming isn't the best thing in the world and overall its blah.

i grapled everywhere and used the quick turn buttons.
at first i had a problem with distinguishing friends from enemies but i got later on in the match.

the grenades and mechs and elxplosions was all really crazy and fast paced.
but on first impressions its better then what i thought it would be like

To be honest, releasing this just after Gears of War was a bad idea, most are just starting to get into playing Gears multi (top Live game 2 weeks running BTW).

I've downloaded it but I've yet to try it.

Yeah i played it, don't have a clue who im ment to shoot? I seemed to spend the whole time getting electrocuted or something then dieing

i think this game is great.. there is a minor learning curve.. or you could change controls.. but it's a solid game and a nice break from the repetativeness of GoW.. this game how so much more depth! i enjoy gears but this game is going to be huge! i hope you guys give the demo another try, i'm sure you'll thank me later

The demo sucked. The aiming was bad (even with the sensitivity cranked way up) and the action just felt dull. It's painfully obvious that Capcom doesn't have much experience with multiplayer shooter games. The mechs are annoyingly slow too. Graphics are amazing though. The explosions are the best I've ever seen in a video games.

I think Lost Planet will be an A single player game but a C multiplayer game. Too bad.

Graphically I think it is stunning. Gameplay is a tad slow for my taste but not enough to make me not want the game. The issue I had was this big machine one player used that put every single other player at a serious disadvantage. He literally sat up top of the map and rocketed a spawn point the entire time.

Keep in mind that this is just a demo. I am sure there were plenty of tweaks done before they finalized it.

The only real difficulty I had with the demo was figuring out who was who. It was very hard to distinguish who was friend and was foe when things started to get hectic. I found myself hesitating to shoot because I wanted to make sure I wasn't team killing only to find myself dead a second later.

Once I fooled around with the sensitivity a bit, I had great fun with the demo. If I had a 360, I'd pick this one up for sure.

I agree, but it does have very good surround sound. Its good fun hearing a rocket go inches past your head.

besides turning up the sensitivity you can change it to a fixed setting.. once fixed it's much more like shooter titles we see here in the states. it's funny you feel they have no experience with multiplayer as this game was awarded Best Xbox 360 game at Leipzig by the industy in a much rougher form

i said it before and i'll say it again, give it another try.. it's worth it!

I love the demo, a strong reason why I'll be getting this game. I can play it forever. The mechs are slow, to keep it evenly paced. Imagine being chased by a fast mech.

Eh, some people see it some way, I had a blast... literally.

actually there is a much faster mech with a killer rocket and gattling gun on the second level.. it even has jump jets to get super high, the devs say some mechs can even hover

Well, there you go. I'm glad. Does this game have online co-op? That'd be amazing!

BTW, how do you download the 2nd level? I heard it's really great, shows the inside environment really well. Any help?

when i first played it i was just liek damn this sucks....with the aiming and how slow you move but the more i played the more i liked it....not sure if id buy the game or not but for being a free multiplayer demo download its worth playing it for that

sorry but there's no co-op, but they said it should be in the sequel

to get the second demo you need to go into a EB/Gamestop, Best Buy, or Walmart and pick it up.. some stores require a pre-order.. other just hand them out. the second map is amazing, fire, water, 2nd mech, and it's high! i think i'll start a LP thread in a few minutes with all the info i've got

Wait there's another singleplayer demo besides the E3 demo?

Also I quite disliked this game at first, but after playing Multiplater I was surprised, it's really fun and addictive when you start focusing.

no there's another multiplayer demo, it has another level. you need a pre-order card code to download it. i'm going to make an LP thread but you can get one from Best Buy, Walmart, or EB/Gamestop when you pre-order the game. However my EB/GS was giving it out free so YMMV.

Played the multi demo, not a huge fan. The aiming system just doesn't really lend itself well to frenetic multiplayer fire fights.

I was hugely impressed with the single player but the multi looks abit dull, especially compared with games like COD3 and GOW having such visceral multiplayer modes.

i'm working on the LP thread now, but press the back button when you start a game try the "fixed 6-8" settings and controller setup "B".
