Capcom has announced that it will issue a text fix for Lost Planet on the 360 for owners playing on standard definition TV's. Standard TV owners have complained about the small text size on the demo version. Capcom have said that the final game will automatically detect the TV type and adjust the text size.

Capcom on Tues. announced that it will issue a Lost Planet text fix for Xbox 360 owners playing on standard definition television sets.
In addition, it said it would make mission objectives clearer to players in the single-player campaign game.
Lost Planet: Extreme Condition is an anticipated action offering due out on Jan. 12. The game allows players to battle aliens in and out of mobile suits.
Capcom released the action game Dead Rising exclusively to the Xbox 360 in Aug. It became the fastest-selling next-generation Xbox 360 from a Japanese publisher.

Great. My question is, why do these developers (Ubisoft/Red Storm in particular) think that everyone on planet Earth has an HDTV? It's good to see Capcom is thinking outside the box. EVERY next-gen developer should have pre-loaded software on the disc that detects your tv type.
Props to Capcom.

Well at least Capcom are able to go back on what they said and finally fix this. About a month back they said it was to hard to do, maybe all them sales pushed them to get it done. Still its good news.

Epic did a good job, I have an SD TV as well as my HDTV and it was good to see that GeOW tackled the "written text" issues we see in other games...

Now why can't they take care of their already released game: Dead Rising.
The gameplay wasn't all that fascinating, the setting and story were what really made this game. But when I realized most dialogues were written, and the writing could only be read by a fly with a magnifying glass, this game went from "maybe" to the trash can...

Sorry, every time you find/save someone, I know they tell you something.
What they tell you, I don't know, but it goes a long way to suspending disbelief...

I'm waiting till Christmas when an actual HDTV will be in the house in order to play Dead Rising again. I played all the way to the end where the guy is on the tank but could not kill him because I needed to work on my skill level. I'm going to restart the whole game again and this time I will be able to read the text. It was a bad oversight by Capcom but now they know so I look forward to Lost Planet also. It's going to be like I just bought the game again..can't wait.
