In shipments in the Southern Califfornia area ?

I don't know why ,but I'm getting the feeling no shipments are coming around to South California atall. I haven't heard of anyone getting one after November 17th around here. Anyone have any proof otherwise ? Or as we really getting screwed over ? Hopefully I'm just being paranoid.

I spoke with a friend of mine working at BB and yes they are going to have shipments though he said it will be there before the holiday season. So don't fret, but rather be prepared for more campers again this time around or just hordes of people buying them when the stores open.

You can try and ask though they may give you the BS stories about not having them in their inventory and so forth. I will ask my insider about it before christmas. I'm sure many BB's are getting their shipments slowly and waiting till the holiday rush to sell them all. If you know someone working at any retailer, ask them about shipments coming. You might get someone to give you a hint of what their plans are.

Looks like northern Cali got acouple shipments this week, today being one of them (in my area), and I was lucky enough to get one!!!! (ill post my story in BB shipment thread later/tomorrow)

but it does seems that the east coast is getting more shipments than the west (from what ive been reading here) As for northern vs southern... I would think southern would be getting more shipments than us... so hopefully they are working their way down coast heh..

GL this weekend though, and remember be persistent, don't be afraid to call/visit a store more than acouple times a day checking on shipments. I had the day off and waited in/around an EB games store in a mall for 2 hrs (only because i spotted them getting a shipment as i was walking by!). I got the only 60GB! they did get acouple 20gigs and only starting telling people (in person and on phone) they had em when i was checking out.

Yup...I live in Pasadena (5 minutes from LA) and they had shipments today in Gamestop. My dad went to pick one up but they said that they can't give him one becasue other people have reserved. I think that's BS cuz they don't let u reserve anymore. Then how did those people reserve? But they told my dad that they get shipments every Friday. And I also called CC on Thursday and he said they had 3 on Wednesday but sold out. I really want one. I would call BB if they're phone started working!! It has been "disconnected" since the launch of the PS3.

Yeah, too many Black Friday calls probably lol. I just checked with my BB insider and yes they do have them in stock in the Santa Clarita & Valencia area but not so much. I hope to hear from him soon for actual units allocated throughout the area though.

Actually the Los Angeles-Long Beach-Santa Monica-San Francisco-San Jose-San Diego (I miss any) is the second largest city region in the USA. After New York ofcourse...

So Cal is DEFINITELY getting ps3 units. I have ranged from a few hours to a few minutes too late at BB stores. Just keep trying, the push for the holiday season is here and it'll be a grind for everyone. I met a manager today who was really nice and polite to me, he helped me out and showed me inventory and all that junk. SoCal BB will be getting them next week for sure, but just dunno when exactly.

i was lucky enough to grab a 20gig from gamestop Brea, california. ive been waiting for the ups shipments hopeing they would have them at Best buy cause i wanted the 60gig. i have a feeling thou they will be getting them today or sunday. if not, im still happy with my 20gig.

My local games stop in long beach, ca called me yesterday to say that a 60gig was there with my name on it. I was on the initial preorder list and was first in line for the next shipment.

I went there 5 min after the call and walked out after giving the manager a daps and a hug....hahahhahah

I WORK IN HOLLYWOOD. I missed getting one of 20 that Best Buy Hollywood had on Black Friday. Then on Tuesday Target in LA got 10 2ogigs I missed that. Finally on Thursday I lucked out and got a 60gig at eb games in hollywood they got 20 in I posted a heads up on the BB thread and helped someone else in the area to grab one b4 they sold out 15 minutes later so SOCAL is definately getting them keep trying good luck
