Hello everyone!
As you may or may not have noticed, the forums are finally back online! The downtime started on Sunday, 5th of September and was caused by my server having been unplugged - due to my hosting company messing up their payments to the firm who physically owns the servers. This was an event which caused hundreds of servers to be taken offline, and im just glad the whole thing is (even if temporarily) sorted out.
Feel free to tell friends (and family!) that the forums are back up online and rearing to go!

Sony forces Blu-ray, will MS force HD-DVD?
what do you guys think?
I have found many articles regarding developers sayng that Xbox 360 is great but the disc storage is limiting and many hope for Xbox 360.1 to ship sometime next year with the HD-DVD add-on.
I was thinking of writing something that has to talk about that and how MS is saying how Sony is pushing Blu-ray on consumers when MS may have to push HD-DVD on thier consumers and how that might be worse for MS then what Sony is doing now...

MS will never push HD-DVD on consumers. They're only providing it as an addon. And it will never be used for games, so you'll never be required to get it.
Microsoft don't get anything out of forcing HD-DVD onto consumers other than selling the actual addon. Once it's sold, they don't make money from the actual movies that are bought for it.

Sorry, did that sound hostile? Didn't mean it to.
Just hope you understand where I'm coming from. It would be a suicidal move to force HD-DVD onto Xbox 360 users, and MS is not that stupid.
However, might like to write an editorial on the benefits of Blu-ray with respect to gaming, and how the capacity could affect Xbox 360 games (or conversely, how it won't affect the games at all).
Maybe something to mull over.
