Using the word demand is wrong---the demand is there---the supply isn't. You also have to wonder about how online sales are being affected by bundles.

If the PS3 supply was higher---they'd most likely be selling more units that the Wii and Xbox 360.

i cant believe some people still do not understand that you cant buy something that isnt there. once available, sales will pick up. on a side note, i will have mine tomorrow thanks to my brother in law. he got one from somebody who owes him 500, so hes selling it to me for that.

The demand might be there, but it is not the same as it was for the xbox 360...and no, I am not a xbox 360 homer. The prices on ebay demonstrate that the demand is not fully there. In fact, the demand is partially fueled by people trying to make money off of the PS3 on ebay. Therefore, when the PS3 hits store shelves, they are picked up almost immediately by ebayers. This gives the impression that the demand is high. This also means that true gamers are having a difficult time getting there system. Once again, an impression of high demand is given.
Considering that PS3 is competing against 2 systems (wii and xbox 360) and these systems are less than the ps3, I think people are considering these first. Others are waiting for the price of the PS3 to drop. They will be waiting for some time. The blue-ray technology is not a pull either. I bet if you took a poll, most people could not tell you what it is or that it even exists. My thought is that the PS3 is going to struggle for some time.

It makes that the online demand would fall because no one is selling them for a reasonable price. There are also those companies that make you bundle for over $1000
and it has a bunch of stuff you might not even want

I would like to make two points. One is that this chart is tracking people searching for these consoles online. Most people who are looking for the PS3 have given up on searching for the PS3 online because they know there is almost no online supply. They have been looking for PS3s in the real world at stores where they can actually find one. The other note that I think is interesting is that there are as many people looking for Xbox's even though they have been out for a year.

Well now a lot of eBay items are sold and now its near Christmas so ppl aren't going o be going online on eBay Craigs List ect, they'll be looking for Christmas bndles and price lowering instead of having to pay fo thousand dollar bundles of eBay.
