Blood Diamond
8/10
I am incredibly surprised with Leo, he has truly matured into a good actor. Between this and the Departed, he is very good.

Someone really should make a "Rate an album" thread where they review some of the best albums they have sitting on their record/cd rack or hard drive.

The last movie I watched was Hostel. I'd give it an 8/10 but I know a lot of people hated it. It's definitely graphic, but I was reading somewhere that places like that do exist and if that's true it makes the movie pretty scary to think that stuff could happen to someone. There is definitely one part of that movie that almost made me throw up though if you've seen it you can probably guess what part it is.

Happy Feet.
9/10 I really enjoyed this movie but I didn't like the choice of cinematography at the ending of the film. I also liked the variety of music in the movie. The soundtrack covers lots of genres and lots of eras.Ok, someone wants to die. Who changed my background to a picture of Mr. Clean?!?

Casino Royale - 9.5/10
Could watch it over and over again. And the new James Bond takes the film up a whole new level. Way better than Pierce Brosnan.
Some memourable quotes:
All of his lines from the scene where he is getting hit by Le Chiffre.James Bond: Very sorry. That last hand... nearly killed me.
Vesper Lynd: If the only thing left of you was your smile and your little finger, you'd still be more of a man than anyone I've ever met.
James Bond: That's because you know what I can do with my little finger...

James Bond: Casino Royale
8/10 - B/B+
Good since it's Bond but was too long, had a dead spot but action and overall plot was good.

It was Will Smith night last night.
Men In Black 2 7/10 while it was funny it felt like it was more re-using the material from the first one, while funny on it's own it's a shadow of it's predecessor.
I've also seen Bad Boys 2 last night 9/10
Manages to smartly mix comedy during the action parts, the friction between Martin Lawrence and Will Smith throughout the whole movie was just plain joyful to watch.
Oliver 6/10 while i would have given it a 8/10 10 years ago, these days it just makes me cringe watching it, although some of the musicals were fun to re-listen to again, that's about it.Big Boss Emblem FTW!

The departed - Great movie, starts a bit slow but expect the unexpected. [8,5/10]
Over the hedge – One of the best animations I have seen in a while, even better than Ice Age 2. [9/10]
World Trade Center - This is such a powerful movie, no comments necessary. [10/10]
Superman Returns– Entertaining and nice to see Superman back in action. [8/10]

12-11-2006 #36Me thinks so aswellCasino Royale - 9.5/10
I was really excited over Casino Royale before watching it, after watching the movie i can easily say that its one of the best movies i have ever seen. Its not like with Pierce Brosnan where he can do a super-kicka** move and kill a guy in only 2 seconds. And he doesnt use those super-agent moves, the new bonds moves remind me of Sean Connery 007 which is a very good thing. Daniel Craig (thats his name right?) is my third favourite of all the bonds (1-Sean Connery / 2-Roger Moore / 3-Daniel Craig). He fought like hell to kill that guy in the beginning, also when killing that guy in the stairway.
There were only some stuff that wasnt perfect, som better camera work could have been done in some places but other than that and some action problems it was a super-great movie
9.5/10 from me aswell
I love the new bond

I saw the Fountain, it was extremely weird. I give it a 5 out of 10 for being weird.

I had the misfortune of seeing House of Wax. It gets one point for the painful death of Paris Hilton.

I got sucked into seeing The Fountain. If you don't like to think about ideas behind a movie then STAY away from this one. I am going to call it a intellectual chick flick. 5/10

The last movie I sat down and watched all the way through was an independant film called Buffalo '66, directed by Vincent Gallo. If you're an arthouse lover and appreciate cinematography then I recommend you watch it. 9/10

It feels like an age since I last saw a film that was decent. A weeks ago I was browsing through the obscure Sky channels and stumbled upon a delightful martial arts film with stunning fight scenes. It's a shame I cannot remember what the film's called.
The last good film I watched, with a title that I can remember, was probably the Magdalene Sisters, a film about the hidden Catholic Magdalene laundries where so many Irish young women were detained. Astonishingly, the last Magdalene laundry to close happened as recent as 1998.
I've read several books on the subject and the Magdalene Sisters doesn't touch upon every horrific aspect of the laundries but it's a gripping film.
