WHAT A MOVIE. Enjoyed every part of it and loved how all the heroes interacted with each other. Some of the best CGI scenes produced and some moments that had me in stitches! Some of the best battle scenes ive ever seen and have no diea how ANY film can top this, even the dark knight rises will probably not be able to!

Only problem is that i watched the 3D version, 2d was sold out and not on for a few hours. Even the annoying glasses did not ruin this movie. Cant wait to watch it again in 2D!

Not a bad movie if you can understand its business talk jargon. You get a POV from the "bad guys" that us, regular people hate so much, see what's going on with their lives in the midst of the 2008 financial crash. It's a movie about who stays on top and who goes down, unless they play along. Makes you hate the big guys even more. Aside from that it's nicely shot and Kevin Spacey does a great job, but I like Stanley Tucci a little more. Good watch.

    The Machinist: 10/10

Loved every minute of this film and it just goes to show what a method actor Cristian Bale is. He lost so many pounds for this role that he literally looks unhealthy in this film and keep in mind he had to shoot Batman Begins the following year, so he had to put a lot of pounds back on, plus get in shape for the role. Aside from that, he acts out a schizophrenic very well. The film sure has nice direction, cinematography and most noticeable of all, atmosphere. The music is absolutely amazing and so is the look of this film with the greys and blues, generally depressing and industrial colors. If there was a sequel to Memento, this would be it, but instead, this is an original piece of work. Do yourselves a favor and watch it. Put this on my to-buy list for blu-rays.

Wow! I didn't realize Batman Begins was one year after the Machinist. It is incredible that he got into that kind of shape after being skin and bones in the Machinist. I enjoyed the movie as well.

Well I think he said he was going to stop doing this, and I hope so. Its really damaging on your body to lose 60 pounds for The Machinist and then gain 100 pounds for Batman Begins. I think for The Machinist his entire diet consisted of an apple and a can of tuna and he said it was agonizingly painful.

Didn't he drop the weight again for The Fighter?

    ALIEN VS PREDATOR (Paul W.S. Anderson, 2004) — C+

One of his better movies but still not too good. It's really bad in the first half but the second half, while stupid, is mildly entertaining.

ALIEN VS PREDATOR: REQUIEM (Brothers Strause, 2007) — D+

Terrible movie. The film features a fucking Predalien, which should be really cool, but you can barely tell what is happening in the action scenes. That's what really kills the film, because the bad acting and weak writing I can live with.

    FUTURAMA: BENDER'S GAME (Dwayne Carey-Hill, 200 — B+

As per the usual with Futurama, some of the humor is forced and kinda lame, but when it works, it really works. The pacing is also perfect for the film. If you're not a Futurama fan then it won't change you but most Futurama fans should find some enjoyment in this film.

    THE TERMINATOR (James Cameron, 1984) — A

It's a science fiction classic. I need not say more.

He looked way worse in THE MACHINIST compared to THE FIGHTER but he made a pretty drastic change in that as well.

    Kairo (Circuit a.k.a. Pulse) - 8/10

Much like director Kiyoshi Kurosawa's other film, Cure, Kairo might be off-putting to most viewers because of its slow pacing and subtle horror elements, which I've noticed is common for a lot of Japanese horror films. The premise itself is interesting with ghosts using the internet to invade our world and corrupt the human psyche. I also liked the dark and lonely atmosphere present throughout the film and how both central characters from the two storylines meet up with each other towards the end.

The Horseman -7.5/10- If you liked Taken, you'll love this, except this guy is a lot more violent and the film is a lot more bloodier, with some good acting by the main character.

No it's not a typical dub, it's the one movie where English is actually animated into the movie.

    Akira 10/10

Woah...this movie is way ahead of its time and even today, it still asks the questions of the origin of the universe and us. This is like the unofficial sequel to Blade Runner, and it takes place in Tokyo, Japan. I mean, is it a coincidence that it's called Neo-Tokyo and the year is 2019? Anyway, aside from that this has some amazing visuals in animation. The level of detail and design in each shot is just spectacular. Now I wanna watch Ghost in the Shell. I was never into anime that much, (except when I was a kid, I would watch Dragon Ball Z everyday) but this movie makes me wanna watch all the popular animation flicks from Japan. Hollywood has actually tried to make a live action version of this movie, but they honestly wouldn't know where to start because they have their heads up their asses in appealing to a broader audience, and it would probably be pg-13. I hope the live action version never happens. It's just too pure and good for that.

I also noticed how Silent Hill burrows a bit from this movie. For example, the hallucinations Tetsuo has are like the Otherworld parts in the Silent Hill series. The toy bears dissolving is also in Silent Hill when the NPC breaks free from the Otherworld. Even South Park did an episode dedicated to Akira in the episode called "Trapper Keeper". It also nods to 2001: A Space Odyssey when Cartman talks like HAL.

And finally the thing I really liked the most about Akira was the characters, especially the Colonel. Here you think you have this one dimensional character who will always be a hard ass throughout the whole film, and he is, but there's also a human side to him. He cares about people and he knows that Akira's power is too strong.
