Could have been a great movie. A few scenes that pissed me off.

Rapture's complaints are all valid and part of the reason why the movie disappointed me.

They are valid, however they are not significant enough for me, personally, to ruin the movie.

If we will be continuing this discussion though, it should be in the Rises thread and not here.

Not a movie per se, but I've seen Carly Rae Jepsen's sex tape. I had no idea she's 26.

Yeah, let's keep it in the official The Dark Knight Rises thread.

Also, this doesn't just go for Rapture, but for the rest of you guys as well: please remember to include spoiler tags in your posts when talking about specific events in the movies you review.

I think that score should be reserved for Pet Detective. The sequel is good too though.

    Session 9: 6.5/10

Could have been a 7.5-8 if the acting didn't ruin it. Aside from that, great cinematography, some real nice atmosphere and awesome ending. Reminds me of Silent Hill in a way.

Well I saw The Dark Knight Rises a second time. It's still 3 stars but I think I've solidified a good list of complaints. And no, this is not nitpicking.

Complaints about Bane's and Batman's voices aren't nitpicking? I really liked Bane's voice. It sounded a little different to what was in the trailer, but it was fine. Calm, but powerful and authoritative. And Batman's voice is still the same thing.

Unexplained time gaps are not plot holes. They are simply irrelevant time gaps. The story takes place over many months. The movie isn't about how he got back, it's about him gaining the strength, physically and mentally, to save Gotham. You can use your imagination as to what happened in between, because not every little thing needs explaining. If they went and explained every time gap there'd probably be complaints about too much time spent on irrelevant aspects and not on the core narrative.

BTW Dinamo, I pulled this piece about John Blake from the IMDb FAQ (which has some pretty good answers in general, check it out) to answer your question about that.

And once again, we have a thread for this.

I'll end my discussion in THIS thread about it with this:

If you're putting so much effort into scrutinizing all these MINOR details which, in the big picture of the movie, are quite unimportant, they you're simply looking for shit wrong with it instead of trying to enjoy it and appreciate it as it is. If you let these things ruin the entire experience for you, the film never had any hope.

Now to keep this on topic....

    I just rewatched

    The Dark Knight

If you've followed some of my posts, you may already know that I marginally prefer Batman Begins. But this is also an incredible movie. Fuck, it's so good. In terms of acting, it's probably the best in the series.

    A+

    ..to go along with
    Batman Begins - A+
The Dark Knight Rises - A+

I don't really wanna pick favorite. They're all incredible films.

Probably my favorite trilogy ever (so far), above ever the original Star Wars and Lord of the Rings.

Saw the Dark Night Rises last night. I'd give it a solid 9/10. I enjoyed it from start to finish but I think i was probably expecting just a little bit too much. It was a long film that i thought it could've easily been an hour shorter (maybe i just think that because i went to a 11:30pm showing) but it kept me interested throughout the duration of the film and offered a few cheap laughs throughout.

I may go watch it again so i guess it wasn't a bad film if it left me wanting for more.

It's always been an issue with the trilogy, but the other films weren't stupid like The Dark Knight Rises. I guess that's my biggest complaint with the film. It's just dumb as hell.
