And yeah, Oldboy is awesome. That movie definitely broadened my imagination in terms of what I can expect in a movie. Really Solid. I hear Spielberg was interested in a remake with will smith a few years ago. Im glad I havent heard any more about it.

My big problem with The Debt was that I couldn't figure out who died in the beginning. I guess Tom Wilkinson is old Sam Worthington and Ciarán Hinds is old Marton Csokas, but it took me like half the movie to figure that out.

I don't really like Will Ferrel, but I found it friggin' hilarious. The entire movie is in Spanish (and yes Will Ferrel is actually speaking Spanish himself). It's a parody of Mexican soap operas and ... well ... Mexico in general.

Friends i like to watch movies and tv shows very much.Mostly i watch only action movies.So recently i watched a great actio0n movie THE DARK KNIGHT RISES.Its a really too good movie.According to me the whole creation and story of this movie was too good.I rate this movie 10/10.

Swingers 7/10- I've always heard how funny this movie was but didn't really catch me as that funny. It was an entertaining movie with some parts that made me laugh but I was expecting something like Tomcats. It just didn't pan out that way. Pretty good overall just the whole whiny Jon Favreau character was kind of annoying and really kills the mood of the movie for me.

The Bourne Legacy: 7.5/10

Jeremy Renner is a badass in this, I actually like him more than Matt Damon as a secret agent. However, even though the movie itself is a spin-off to the series (meaning, not based on any books, but extension), it adds nothing that new that we have not seen before. There are a few twists and turns, but nothing too crazy and honestly I kinda got tired of the twists in that movie, and of this spy genre. The action is fast, in your face and quite shaky. I would have preferred panning shots or long shots of the action like in Children of Men, but the extreme wide shot cinematography makes up for it, somewhat.

I feel like this movie didn't need to happen and the only reason I even went to see it is because of Jeremy Renner. And I expected a Jason Bourne cameo, but all we have is references from the previous movies. I was really expecting him to show up near the end and help this guy, just for the hell of it. And if this is supposed to spawn a new trilogy, the ending sure didn't end on a cliffhanger.

But to be honest, I was never that into this series as some people are. It gets a little dry for me to constantly see the same stuff all over again. More running from agencies and then more intermissions of agency debriefings on how to get this guy. If anyone can do the spy genre right, it's Ian Fleming's James Bond. That has the women, the sexy gadgets, the great action, the characters you like and the villains with each a different personality. Oh and the style. But if you are a Bourne fan, you will really like this movie. I only liked Jeremy Renner in the entire movie, and that's about it. Oh and one more thing.

This is stuff I've watched over the course of the past few days:

Eraserhead fucks with my mind every time I see it (three times now). I don't understand it and I probably never will, though I have my theories. It's dark, scary, atmospheric, haunting, and disturbing. (David Lynch | 1977) 3½ stars

Airplane! never fails to make me laugh, no matter how many times I watch it. The gags involving that flamboyant guy in air control mostly fall flat, but that's only a small portion of the film, and most of the gags, which are played straight, are absolutely hysterical. Shooter seemed like it would be a bad B-movie, but it was actually entertaining. Mark Wahlberg does decent work playing a character with one of the silliest names I've ever seen in a serious film: Bob Lee Swagger. It's sometimes stupid, but it has solid action sequences. It's kind of a run-of-the-mill "framed for murder" type of action-thriller, but it did avoid some of the plot points I was expecting which is always good. Definitely better than I expected it to be. Team America: World Police is smart satire masked by the outrageously and unapologetically inappropriate and gross-out humor. Yeah, it has puke jokes and blowjob jokes and race jokes and all of that, but there is a lot of intelligence to it as well. I love how every time they show a new location, it's always shown in relation to the United States, like "Paris, France; located x miles from America" and how Cairo is referred to as "Cairo, Middle East" in the film. It has fun with the warmongering American conservative stereotype, but it also pokes fun at liberal Hollywood. It really trashes everyone, and it's relentlessly funny. (Trey Parker | 2004) 3 stars

Freddy vs. Jason isn't very scary, but goddamn is it entertaining. The brutal kills that Jason does coupled with Freddy's funny dialogue is awesome, and the fight scenes are actually pretty cool. Unfortunately, the ending doesn't resolve much, but I wasn't expecting it to because horror franchises never seem to die (although I think Freddy vs. Jason was the final film for both characters before the reboots, so they really could've provided some closure although I imagine they were planning on continuing beyond the film). Ultimately, it's not so much a horror movie as it is a campy action-thriller, but it's enjoyable nonetheless. I wish they threw in Ash from The Evil Dead because there actually is a comic about the three of them fighting. Would've been sweet, but what we've got is still pretty cool. The King of Comedy actually isn't a comedy per se. Yeah, it's got its funny bits, but it's a disturbing and depressing film for the most part, but easily one of Martin Scorsese's finest films. Robert De Niro is really good as Rupert Pupkin, a man obsessed with a late night talk show host played by Jerry Lewis. De Niro has a deep and unsettling psychosis, but it's impossible not to feel sorry for him and his need for approval and utter loneliness. (Martin Scorsese | 1983) 4 stars

2001: A Space Odyssey is a film that I put off watching for so long because of what I'd heard about it, that it was way too long and had really slow pacing, and while that's not entirely untrue, 2001: A Space Odyssey is among the best films I've ever had the pleasure of watching. The Blu-Ray conversion looks crisp and vibrant, like it could have been made a few years ago. The film is a technical masterpiece; every single shot is brilliant. The acting is fine, the special effects are quite good for their time, and HAL-9000 is one hell of a villain. I'm not sure I fully understand the ending, but it's definitely an interesting one. (Stanley Kubrick | 1968) 4 stars

The General is probably my favorite silent film now, beating out Charlie Chaplin's Modern Times. It's quite funny and surprisingly exciting. The music, which was added to the film in 1953 by Raymond Rohauer, is perfect for each and every scene it's in. (Buster Keaton | 1926) 4 stars

The Campaign 8/10- I really like this movie because Zach's character was much different from all his other roles. I don't really know why he gets all the hate but I really like him. This movie was raunchy funny which we haven't really seen from Will Ferrell since Step Brothers and it didn't disappoint on the dirty scale. It did have its slow moments but most of the movie was hilarious. Basically if you don't like Galafianakis, although his character is new, you probably won't like him in this. But definitely give it a shot because it is a very funny movie. It just doesn't quite hold up to other movies from the like of Todd Phillips but still funny.

Still the best science fiction movie to date. It's a shame we have to water everything down with too much action and too little plot for anything to stick with an audience. God forbid movies make you really think. Reminds me of Tree of Life. Not science fiction based but it makes one think about our place in the universe and so forth... the "bigger picture". Not to mention great visuals as well.

The other interesting science fiction film that bombed at box offices for being philosophical is the first Star Trek film. Also considered very slow as well.

Colombiana -7/10- Thought the ending was weak IMO:

This girl devotes her whole life to getting the guy that killed her parents and yet she is happy for him to die in a van with two rottweilers attacking him?! And she isn't even there to watch it?! Especially after seeing all the extravagant ways she tracks down and kills others guys just to find him, what a waste. The fight scene with the dude in the bathroom was good though.

It is funny in some parts, but it's subtle and it's so well done that way. Sean plays an autistic hockey player who is recruited by a scout to serve as the defense of the team, or the "goon". It's basically about the controversial subject of violence in hockey. Goes unpunished in the NHL, but anything below the NHL (league games and smaller), it's almost a free-for-all. I don't even watch or like hockey, but I loved this movie. Alison Pill from the Newsroom is in it. And the other great thing about this movie is the cinematography. Shows you a hockey-town Halifax, and even gets down to the accents in the characters and people there. Really worth it. I'm getting this on blu-ray. This has to be one of Sean William Scott's best roles!

It was recently released in theatres, but I think it may have been a limited release because I didn't hear anything about it. But my wife and I found it on Amazon Prime last night, do we ordered it. It caught our eye because it was directed Jay Chandresekhar (or spelled something like that), but it's not a Broken Lizard flick. It was pretty damn hilarious! It's about this couple trying to have a baby, but he ends up having bad sperm. As it turns out, he donated some when it was still good, so he plans to rob the place for his it. Awesome movie though

I liked this movie as well. I thought it might be a really stupid gross-out comedy given Sean William Scott's previous movie credits, but the movie had heart. Yeah, it was kinda violent at points, and the main character is dopey as hell, but the whole time I was rooting for the guy; even though Allison Pill's character is less than reputable, she was also very likable and I wanted to see them together at the end.

Battleship: 5.5/10

Oh no, you sunk my battleshit! The only things I can say I enjoyed was the Transformers-esque special effects, the action where the alien ships are jumping over the water and Liam Neeson. The rest is full of crappy comic-relief, puns that relate to the title of the movie and the navy, mediocre-looking Brooklyn Decker who looks like she wants to look like Heidi Klum all the time and the terrible after-credits bonus scene. What surprises me is how average the movie did at the box office because they marketed it exactly like a Bay-Transformers movie with the trailer, vidyagames and toys. I could have sworn the movie was Transformers 4 when I saw the first few cuts in the trailer.

The aliens are given no backstory, other than that they became because of some silly little pet project some people had that could slingshot a digital message across the universe. The aliens don't even talk! And to top it off, they don't seem very hostile either if they are not being attacked. So no backstory on them whatsoever, other than some silly doomsday plot.

But why did Liam Neeson have to do this movie for the money? Why couldn't he just refuse the role? I still respect him.

Long movie but a great arc. And the reality of the events adds to the dynamic.
