Ben Affleck does it again! He's just so damn good as a director, maybe he should stick to that instead of contract jobs with $#@!ty actresses with $#@!ty personalities like J-$#@!, I mean J-Lo.

No, Argo was a great film, a nod to all films of the 70's and 80's, despite that not being the main story, but based on a true, declassified story, by ex-CIA man, Tony Mendes, who is played by none other than Ben Affleck. The writing is great for this, as well as the editing. It literally keeps you in suspense in some parts, especially near the end, no thanks to the editing and wonderful writing. This is definitely getting some Oscar noms.
I've been wanting to go see this! Hopefully this weekend I will

    That's My Boy - 7.5/10
It's stupid funny. But Adam Sandler with that voice is annoying. Decent movie, but definitely not his best.

A fun movie to watch. I love its art style, that borrows a lot from Tony Scott. The twist wasn't that great though, but the characters are. You really kinda root for all the characters at some point. Even the crazy neo-nazis.

This seemed to be the most appropriate thread to announce that I have been brought back on board 411mania.com as a Movie Reviewer. Apparently the found/owner and the Movies section editor "were very impressed with your submission, & we review a lot of submissions constantly." Don't think I'm a phenomenal writer but happy to hear the praise. I wrote as a Games Columnist and represented them at E3 2012 before starting writing here for PSU.

My mind is still trying to wrap around the whole story, featuring multiple time periods and clocking in at almost 3 hours. But by the end, it really finds itself despite lacking a "boom" revelation. Yet that's fine, especially if you are a hopeless romantic or believer in the human spirit.

    A solid 4 out of 5.
Really excited to see this. The critics seem to be giving it mixed reviews (64% on RT), but most of the user reviews I've seen have been very positive.

    The Campaign 5/10

It's really funny at start, when it introduces the characters and some of the jokes, but it falls flat on its ass and becomes cliche quickly near the 2nd act and so forth. I also laughed less as it progressed. I had high hopes for this because Will Ferrel is my favourite comedic actor, along with Zach Galifnakis...so, I thought I would see a little Hangover meets Cowbell in this.

Avengers was good, but all that hype was just because of the fact that multiple marvel heroes were in a single movie. The budget was great but I just don't see it deserving that box office earnings.

Don't know why people disliked this spiderman

Well, one of the reasons people didn't like the new one too much was because it paralleled the first movie a lot, and it was obvious too. The way the plot was structured was similar to the first. My friend even expected Peter to be bitten in a different setting or different way than by going to a lab. The only differences here was the villain, the girl, and the actors. Even the last scene of the movie of the funeral was parallel to the first one, except that was with Norman Osborn. It felt too similar, yet different and better.

I liked Amazing Spider-Man and what they did with it. It's sooo much better than original trilogy, IMO. But..I would have loved this movie if it came out, say, 10 years later after Spider-Man 3.

Aint posted in a while here's what i watched this year an what i rate them.

Expendables 2 - 8/10 Awsome film really enjoyable funny an tones of action.
Tower Heist - 6/10 Wernt as funny as i thought it be turned out to be a serious heist movie.
the Sweeney - 7/10 Felt the movie was empty not alot of action gun firing is pretty awful but overall was good.
Dredd 3D version - 6/10 Worse 3D movie yet wasnt mind blowing pretty boring on an off same with the action the raid was better.
Mission Impossible 4 - 8/10 Good film insane tower stunt but it seemed like a toned down MI movie could of been better.
Safe House - 7/10 Was ok for what it was.
Cabin in the Woods - 7/10
    Prometheus - 7/10
21 Jump Street 9/10 Really funny enjoyable.
Safe - 9/10 brillant film well made alot of action another great jason statham movie
Six Bullets - 7/10 Worth watching but the movie was slow an it dragged on a while until it kicked in.

even though I'm a huge fan of the original trilogy, while watching the amazing spiderman, I was somehow sure that this one easily beat the original films. The Peter Parker in the original was too gloomy and boring compared to this one

Comparing Amazing Spider-Man to Avengers is like comparing apples to oranges, really. It comes down to what kind of movie you prefer; a more focused story that follows one lead and explores more angles or an ensemble action movie...which is a recipe for overblown action and spectacle while the more traditional story structure takes less of a primary role.

As such, I thought both movies accomplished what they were set out to do well (Amazing Spiderman to be an improvement from the old series and Avengers to live up to the hype set by 5 movies), which is impressive. No, Avengers didn't deserve to be THE best selling movie, but the movie was REALLY entertaining, that's for sure.

Cloud Atlas is quite a bit different as well. 62% on RT and an 8.4 on IMDB.

I didn't get a chance to see it this weekend. Hopefully next weekend.

    8.5/10

Very enjoyable, very good story and thought it was very well made.

Could have done with more gadgets :P but the action parts were amazing, especially the ending part.

Nice to see a familiar face
