Lord of the rings: the fellowship of the ring, 9.5/10.
Easily one of the best movies i've seen in my life, every time i watch it i feel like i'm seeing it for the first time! And seeing the Trilogy in HiDef makes it like a totally different experience.

Prometheus: 9/10
Wow, this movie was INCREDIBLE! I was basically blown away watching it. I think the story is epic and it got me really excited all throughout the film. the entire look, feel, essence of the movie was amazing and I had a great time. I think Fassbender did a great job and I couldnt be more excited for the sequel. I dont know how it just such mildly good reviews. I thought it was phenomenal and without a doubt the best movie of the year (haven't seen Cloud Atlas yet)Last edited by DINAMO788; 11-23-2012 at 20:17.

Lord of the rings: The Two Towers - 10/10
Simply one of the best movies i've seen in my life and i don't think there's anything like it out there.
Lord of the rings: the return of the king - 10/10
And this one tops the trilogy and far exceeds my expectation of a final movie! When it ended (even though i saw the movie 4 times before) i felt kinda sad that it did! I loved every bit of the movie and i was blown away most of the time.
Now patiently waiting for the Hobbit to come out.Case: HAF-X Motherboard: Asus CHV CPU: FX8320@4.4GHz GPU: Asus DCUII 7950 RAM:Mushkin redline @ 2133MHz HDD: Crucial M4 256

Magnolia: 7.5/10
This, according to PT Anderson, the director of this film, is his best work that he'll ever make. I disagree. I think There Will Be Blood (I haven't seen The Master yet) is his best work 'ever made'. I really loved all the acting from the actors in this, especially Tom Cruise and Melora Walters (the coke junkie who can't speak to people without shaking nervously). I love the editing, it works so well with the pace. However, I'm a little about the plot. Is there an actual plot? Because this feels a lot more character driven, which is great, but I think it needs a plot. The only way I can see it as a plot is whenbecause that feels like a catharsis that brings all the characters together through the brilliant editing process in the film. Other than that, it's really depressing when act 2 is nearing its end and makes you want to step outside for a few hours lol. But a really good movie, nonetheless, though I'd say this is my least favourite PT Anderson film.

Lawless -6/10- Note that the score I have given is mostly for the scene where Guy Pearce beats the crap outta Shia LaBeouf.

Skyfall - 9/10
Definitely one of the best bond films. Beautifully shot, wonderfully acted alongside a great script. And it still managed to keep bond's trademark action. Fun + intelligent = entertaining.

Home Alone: 6.8/10
It's a classic that I will never forget. I certainly loved the stunt and as a kid, you always wanted to do what Kevin did to those robbers in the movie, but to other people in real life. I wish the robbers would talk about cocaine because that could be epic foreshadowing. Or like Kevin's mom would say to Kevin: Don't do cocaine while we're gone, son.
And then he does, a few years later. lol

Jaws -9/10- The look on sheriff Brody's face when he sees Jaws reveal himself while he is throwing out the bait is priceless.

9/10
Simply brilliant movie about a guy that is forced to become the lookalike of Sadam Hussein's son and has to endure his psychopathic lifestyle. Even more astonishing that it is based on a true story...
Do yourselves a favour and WATCH it!

Prometheus - 6.5/10 - Way, way below what I expected.

I loved Prometheus.
Hot Rod: 7/10
Funny as hell movie, although it did drag in some parts. Also, the editing really helps with some of the jokes. Like when he fails his first stunt in the pool, while he's so confident, and then cuts immediately to him walking in shame. That was brilliant. But sometimes the humor was kinda forced, just to be there as filler for a normal line of dialogue that would move the story further.

My differential equations prof took the time to stop the lecture and talk shit about prometheus...and so did my uncle. I found it to be an 8/10 movie now in retrospect. Nothing special

I don't mind Prometheus getting heat. It's controversial. But when action blockbusters that are absolutely generic and get better scores, that kinda bugs me.
