The Dark Knight Rises - 7/10

This was my third time watching it. Bane is a solid villain and I like the larger focus on Bruce Wayne, but I feel this movie is poorly pasted in parts. Some scenes don't blend well into the movie, such as the Alfred scenes. I also felt Bane could have used some better writing in certain scenes that had more potential than what we received, such as the Wallstreet scene. Overall though, an entertaining movie that keeps you involved.
A Scanner Darkly - 7/10

This is my second time watching this movie. It's definitely a trippy and unique movie, with some interesting messages. The acting is also good, including Keanu Reeves, as this is one of the movies he fits well in. However, the story is a little convoluted and could have made more of an impact.
Cloud Atlas - 8/10

I saw this about a month ago. I enjoyed this movie greatly. The editing was beyond ridiculous, as they managed to have each story flow well into the next story, and some transitions were genius, especially as you begin to see the thematic similarities between storylines. You'll feel a bit lost towards the beginning of the film, but as a rhythm develops, everything falls into place. My main problem with this film was regarding a dialect in one of the storylines, which was difficult to understand, and therefore made it difficult to become engrossed in that particular story. Definitely a flawed film, but very fun to watch.
Skyfall - 9/10

What makes this a unique Bond film is how the story is a personal one. It's not simply about saving the world from terrorists. I felt more connected to this storyline than any other Bond film I've seen. I especially enjoyed the final act of the film.
Wreck-It Ralph - 6/10

This is definitely pretty witty in how it created a living world of video game characters that mimics the real world, but I simply didn't find it quite as funny as it should have been. Definitely worth a watch though if you're into video games.
The Last Exorcism - 7/10

This is my third time watching this. I originally gave this movie a 9/10 when I first saw it couple years ago in theaters, but I feel that's partly because I was expecting a terribly generic horror film, and since this is a bit original and focuses more on suspense, I was pleasantly surprised. But it's definitely not as great as I thought it was, and still has a couple cliches. It's certainly one of the better horror films of recent years though.Last edited by Ixion; 12-03-2012 at 17:05.

End of watch - 8/10
Captivating and a thrilling watch, that gets your heart running towards the end of it. I enjoyed the movie quite a lot.
my only complaint is, it felt quite slow at the first 20 minutes.Case: HAF-X Motherboard: Asus CHV CPU: FX8320@4.4GHz GPU: Asus DCUII 7950 RAM:Mushkin redline @ 2133MHz HDD: Crucial M4 256

Sweet Nothing in My Ear - This movie is awful. Aside from being corny as hell, it teaches kids the wrong messages. It's about a couple who have a deaf son; the wife is deaf and she doesn't want to get a cochlear implant for her son, which would allow him to hear, because she wants him to love himself for who he is. The film champions this philosophy and I think it's a horrible moral to sell to people. I have no problem with someone accepting oneself, but to be ignorant to any sort of improvement is unhealthy. The hero of the story, the mother, is selfish and moronic, while the father, the one who wants to improve his son's life, is shown as the villain who won't accept his son for who he is. I suppose if he had a son without legs, it'd be wrong to get him prosthetics because he'd be teaching him that he's not perfect the way he is and that his father doesn't accept him for who he is. I haven't been this pissed off at a film in a really long time; I hated, hated, hated this morally repugnant propaganda. [Joseph Sargent | 2008] No stars

No matter what race you are or what you look like or your sexuality or where you come from, We are all the same people and we are all bothers & sisters so love each other & don't let anyone tell you any different.
Remember you can't choose what you are from birth but you can choose what you want to become.
Just because you haven't seen them doesn't mean they are not there we all got to have something to believe in.

This is the answer for you Shazz. Bond is supposed to be timeless that is why this franchise has lasted 50 years changing the actor. Saying he is getting old in one movie then replacing the actor with a younger one later and still calling him James Bond makes absolutely no sense to me.

The Devil's Playground 8/10- It's been a while since I've a good zombie movie, outside of Dead Snow. This one didn't disappoint. Danny Dyer was also pretty good in it as well. I personally would like to see him in some higher profile movies. The movie uses the 28 days and 28 weeks later zombie types which I really like.

Valid point. I pretty much consider anything that acts outside of their normal human function and wants to eat people zombie.
But I would characterize this more as an outbreak movie because it had the same type of premise the 28 titles. I don't really remember any instant where the dead came back to life. More or less they just got wore down by the infection and then turned. Pretty cool movie though.
