they are awsome and just cult classic's, with silly acting and bad lines. Just like the original

Army of darkness is just unbelievably eye popping and epic on how bad it is, bad that's the appeal

    Thanks to Spyrde/Sylar

    The Expendables 2: 7/10
The first film was alot better imo

    The Pact: 5/10
A bit boring, there were some 'jumpy' bits though.

    The Amazing Spider Man: 8/10
Not a bad re introduction to the spiderman franchise.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory 8.5/10- I know a lot of people who talk shit about this movie but i loved it. I found it quite funny and thought Johnny Depp was awesome as well. Great movie in my book.

    The Hobbit: 8.5/10

Its dealing with scant actual story, and yet still felt a bit badly paced. With it rushing from one chase scene to the next.

It seems Joel Schumacher knows how to make thrillers and drama, but not comic book movies. Whether you hate him or love him after the Batman parodies, you gotta give him credit for this one. I remember watching it in theaters and I was on the edge of my seat. He knows how to make a thriller. And even Falling Down with Michael Douglas is really outstanding movie.

I loved the idea behind this movie, one guy in a phone booth. I imagine it wasn't too hard to shoot this picture since it was almost entirely one location throughout the whole film. And small ideas translate big on the screen. Less is more as they say. I didn't dig the ending too much though, but I love the lead up to it with the pizza guy. Even the hint dropped earlier on was subtle and easy to catch or lose if you weren't paying attention.

This is one of Colin Farrel's best acting movies, and Keifer Sutherland does do a nice voice over for a sociopath. But that damn ending..I can't live with that. It's nice that it breaks tradition and departs from Hollywood norms and cliches, but if you're gonna go out like that, then make a sequel or a prequel, or even a goddamn TV series...oh wait, 24.

Master and Commander: Far Side of the World 9/10- Man what an awesome movie. I'm actually shocked it isn't more popular. Russell Crowe at his best. Definitely ought to check it out.

    Les Miserable - 6/10

Hooper's style is great but the musical aspect is very hit and miss. The adaption from broadway to screen should've been pushed further.

I've come to realize, every holiday break with my parents & brother has become the time where I watch a lot of movies with them: catching up on a lot of ones I missed & re-watch the good ones.

    Ruby Sparks

Directed by Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris, who did Little Miss Sunshine, Ruby Sparks is a more mature romantic comedy than you usually get, with a great message at the end. This was my second time seeing it, and it's still great. Kind-of like a plot out of an anime: a single, nerdy looking successful novelist writes about a girl he sees in his dreams & she one day appears in reality as his girlfriend. Worth checking out, especially if you like more quirky/indie films. 8.5 out of 10

    Prometheus
Glad I missed this one til now. Wow, I was really disappointed overall with this one. Great effects but the storytelling was awful. 6 out of 10

    Skyfall
I was skeptical, but this really turned out to be the best Bond yet in my opinion, and a damn great film as well. A solid 9 out of 10.

Here's an awesomely flawed buddy-cop action movie with heart. It's not as great as Lethal Weapon 1 or 2, but it's very close. Its flaws are noticeable on-screen, but it's forgivable because of Stallone and Swayze's chemistry in the movie. Their one-liners back and forth to each other make it an enjoyable experience for anyone watching. Also, this,

What a boss to do product placement from another movie universe played by the SAME ACTOR and then make fun of yourself. Fucking legendary dude.

    Oh, also this too

    Much better on blu-ray too!

    Silver Linings Playbook - 9/10

Great performances. Jennifer Lawrence never disappoints IMO, and its great to see Bradley Cooper do a role like this. Wouldn't mind seeing them get Oscars for it. Story itself is great, basically a far more real romantic comedy (I say that loosely, it's not dubbed a comedy or even romantic necessarily).

Definitely in my top 5 for this year.

Powder Blue 8/10- This is one of those stories where multiple characters tie in together. It's not extreme like Crash but it's a good movie. The movie features Forest Whitaker, Jessica Beil, Ray Liotta, and a few more notables. Overall the story was very good with the starting being right on par. Honestly though it's a bit depressing overall. One of the best things about the movie is Jessica Biel nude and watching her as a stripper. Quite nice!
