Project X 8.0/10
I enjoyed it, even though it has many poor reviews I thought the movie was pretty good.

Django 7/10
Over the top-ness. Funny. Weird at the same time. It was a cool movie, but not worth 3 hrs of my life.

You guys and Roger Ebert really make me want to see End of Watch. Hopefully I can snag this one on iTunes...
The Last Stand - 8/10
Fun movie and it looks like Arnold still has it as an action star. In some parts I don't think the movie knew how to balance action and comedy, though. At any rate, even though Arnold is still likeable in his movies, I still wish he could act better.

He doesn't need to act better. He's an action star. Most action stars suck at acting but rock the shit when it comes to being a good action star. I.E Stallone, Van Damme, Chuck Norris, I could go on and on.
Although it is a plus when you find that rare actor that can play an awesome action star and actor all at the same time. But not one comes to mind off the top of my head. But I know they are out there if I think about it. This is all opinion though.

Hard-Boiled: 6.5/10
If it wasn't for the extremely horrible post production ADR dubbing in Cantonese, which makes the audio out-of-sync and sound funny, I would have given this an 8. Oh, the editing is really bad too. However, this is a solid action flick, although the constant shooting does get annoying, there is some amazing cinematography being put to work here. Some shots you can clearly see have influenced films like Terminator 2 and The Matrix. And I've been looking for a blu-ray of this movie for a very long time.
Shoot Em Up: 6/10
Again, almost the same deal as Hard Boiled. Except, shitty writing. The plot felt like it came at you out of nowhere. There's no reason for it to exist, but Paul Giamatti tries hard to keep the film interesting. The music selection is pretty good in the action scenes, but overused at times. Also, Monica Belluci's tits.

Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters
7/10
Absolutely stupid, but I knew that before going into it. Was entertaining with lots of gore, so it satisfied me.

Zero Dark Thirty
8/10
Really good movie overall but the final scene disappointed me. Wish it would have ended right before that one. Didn't affect my score, just something I would have changed.
Next up on the list is Take Shelter.

Iron Sky

Available on Netflix. It looks bad. It's a movie about moon Nazis. But, it turned out to be a bizarre, actually OKAY experience. Fun one to watch with friends.
6 out of 10.

Silent Hill: Revelation - 6/10
I really wanted to like this movie despite the harsh word of mouth about from SH fans of the Konami series. I really did try to give it a chance, but they butchered it. It's nice that they tried to get it based off of SH3, but it was still missing some pieces that should have been in there. And why does Pyramid Head grow a heart and help?! They could have kept the same child actor for Alessa, but they had to change, which is weak.
What I did like was Adelaide Clemens as Sharon. She really portrayed the character well, and you could see a sense of innocence to her throughout. I loved the mannequin sequence. That was actually pretty cool. And that's about it. Oh no, wait, the score for the movie was definitely from the games and at least they kept the composer, Akira Yamaoka on board, that was a smart decision.
It really had the potential to be great, had they casted better, written it better and made it longer. It really really did....I'll just pretend the first movie exists. That was actually a really great adaptation of the videogame..

The FP (aka the Dance Dance Revolution movie)
Another movie I expected to be bad but was better than anticipated. It actually has decent acting. Still hilarious though. Both my friend & I enjoyed it as a guilty pleasure. Available on Netflix.

I was annoyed the entire time by the fact that the little girl from the original, Jodelle Ferland, is 18 now and could've reprised her role, but they didn't use her. I did like the girl that played her character, but it bothered me the entire length of the film that they didn't use the original actress. She's been in a lot of horror movies since Silent Hill, her latest being Cabin in the Woods (she was the zombie girl)... so I just don't get it. Oh well. The movie was alright. At least her dad was the same actor. -_-
