Not what I was expecting in the slightest. I enjoyed it.

$#@! the IMDB score, this movie kicks ass! I just watched it for the first time and I miss Tony Scott even more. After watching some of the insanely beautiful cinematography, I can see that Michael Bay rips off this movie in his movies. He has similar shots with similar color palettes/tones, most noticeably in the Transformers movies.

But Top Gun is a force to be reckoned with. Never have I ever felt so confident watching a movie. Tom Cruise, Val Kilmer and just about every other male actor's $#@!-erotic line delivery about being buddies makes me wet and confident.

The sound is even awesome, but what I love most is the cinematography. The fact they didn't need CGI, and just decided to film the jets from the air (not to mention the AMAZING $#@!pit views that make GoPro look like a rookie) makes this movie so much more prestigious than anything today that can also be done realistically, and without CGI.

I really hope there's a sequel, directed by Ridley Scott, and that it takes places decades later with Maverick as the instructor training $#@!y students. But I bet Michael Bay will unfortunately be hired for this and it'll be about Russians, Chinese, Al Queda or aliens that could be robots, attacking their bases. And some A-list action star will star in it, with some supermodel looking actress, or a supermodel trying to act. Yeah, maybe a sequel is not such a good idea after all.

But yeah, I can see how this movie is a cult classic. It's got stuff in it that you can recite, and even gets songs stuck in your head. And I really regret not being born sooner before the movie came out, because I would have loved to see it in theaters..but I did wonder after watching how awesome it would look in IMAX..and whaddaya know, they re-released it in theaters in an IMAX 3D version. $#@!, I'm so pissed I missed it! Oh well, the good news is that it's on blu-ray! Instant buy!
Yeah, Top Gun is incredibly cheesy and $#@!erotic, but in a cool way! It's one of my favorite movies.

I thought Rush Hour 3 was funny. Yeah, the other two were better, but I don't get the hate for it.

The only Quentin Tarantino movie I hadn't seen until now and I thought it was really good. Not my favorite Tarantino film, not nearly as violent as others, either. Samuel Jackson is awesome and Robert De Niro plays a character that is nothing like his usual shtick. Recommend it to everyone.

Not a big fan of 3D Animations but this one really caught my attention.
Liked it after watching the trailer, loved it after watching the movie.

White Irish Drinkers 6/10- It was ok. The acting was average at best. Not too bad though.

Hands down, the first great comedy film of 2013 and one to keep an eye on come time to decide best comedy of the year.

On the surface, it looks directive and possibly bad - a cross between The Hangover and Project X. It does have similarities but enough differences, fresh jokes, and a cast with amazing chemistry - especially the back and forth between Miles Teller and Skylar Astin. Plus, it has a better message and character development than either of the movies it seems to borrow from. Gather your bros ando see this, seriusly.

    A high 4 out of 5

(Saw an advance screening last night. Id be doing a full-length review for 411mania.com, but one of my fellow writers claimed it.)

Holy $#@!, I regret not seeing this movie in theaters, I really $#@!ing do. This is amazing. This is $#@!ing beautiful. I want to marry this movie. Omg, I sound like a pretentious film school hipster, but goddamn, this is one of those movies that YOU HAVE TO SEE.

Where do I even start? Bradley Cooper is a damn fine actor, an amazing actor and I've been waiting for the day he would get a serious role and he owned it!!!! And the on-screen dialogue with him and DeNiro was so $#@!ing magical. It felt like I was watching Heat with DeNiro and Pacino. Even the cinematography, combined with the score and editing pace and style all complement the acting and the story.

And is it ever so amazingly written. The character has an issue he needs to overcome, why now, what are the consequences and who is in the way and how to overcome it with a resolution at the end. This is the $#@! I get taught in film school and I'm seeing it right before my goddamn eyes in a movie, but more than any ever before. I love this movie.

    Instant blu-ray purchase. Holy $#@!.
