The Amazing Spider-Man - 6.5/10
Solid, but nothing special. It's pretty much the same as every other super hero movie.

Well, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, Kick Ass, and Watchmen are great movies in my opinion, but everything else is usually very cookie cutter, even though I'm adequately entertained by most of them.
I'm looking forward to Man Of Steel though, since there hasn't been a movie to really do justice to Superman yet and I like Zack Snyder.

Yeah, I agree.
I'm really looking forward to Man of Steel as well... not only because of Zack Snyder, but I hear Christopher Nolan [the new Batman movies] is co-writing the script and is also a producer.
Superman has been needing a good reboot for quite some time. The last Superman movie was a friggin' joke. =\

The Shining -9/10-
"When I was 12, I milked my eel into a pot of turtle stew. I flogged the one-eyed snake, I skinned my sausage. I made the bald man cry into the turtle stew, which I believe my sister ate. At least I hope she did."

Silver Lining Playbook. very pleasantly surprised by Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper's performance. 9/10 for a comedy-romantic film

Shame: 7/10
I was pretty excited to see this movie. Now that I finally have, I guess it was what I expected but I wanted more intensity. The performances were good and I liked the way it was shot, but it didn't have the kind of grip I want from a "powerful" character piece (is that would you would call this?). But I did really like McQueen's camera work. I dont like a lot of cuts in my movies and liked his moving/following camera scenes and him not being afraid to hold one shot for a lengthly scene.
I never understood why people go and pay to see films they expect to be bad...you game? http://www.ps3forums.com/showthread.php?t=55990

Really funny movie but is also more than just a funny party movie. The characters are likable and develop throughout the movie. It's funny that in this day in age people can steal as long as they have a reason too. Even if that reason is created by the thieves themselves.
