This is an under-rated gem. I really liked this. The writing for the characters is what shines in this, as well as some of the scenes at the dinner table family reunion. There are some nice tense moments. The only thing I didn't like about it was the ending, a bit open ended, and lets the audience figure out what might happen next to them, but it needed to focus on less characters.

    Revolution OS - 7/10

I now finally understand the Linux debate. This documentary is about the rise of Linux, its origins and creators. I never cared for this movement, but I understand it and respect it more. It's basically pro-open source software, without the absurdity of copyright laws and regulations. I think it heavily relied too much on interviews and should have gotten more archive footage, but it's a nice doc that opens your mind to Linux and its idea.

this has to be one of Arnies best films, the action is brilliant, the villains are great and it has a decent story. Also the effects and 'gore' were really good for its time, still surprises me now with how violent it is considering it's more action than thriller or horror

Would have been a nine but after the ending there were a few lines that made the whole operation clear that it wasnt all USA like what the whole film tried to make out.
The involvement of the CIA complemented efforts of the Canadian embassy in the freeing of...
That to me says it wasnt all the CIA idea which the film lets us believe right up until they fade the black.

Also right at the begining it was said "Brits turned them away, kiwis turned them away Canadians took them in" now I found that hard to believe since USA and Britain are allies and it turns out to the Brits did take them in but only for a day and a night.

I know right? A perfect example of their endings is that story in a serious man about the dentist and the guy with the hebrew words on his teeth. Interesting story that draws you in and they just $#@! up the ending

Haven't watched it since I was a kid, but it was probably my favorite film of Arnold's outside of Terminator 2. Total Recall had a really cool concept. I skipped the Colin Farrell version after I saw the trailer and just thought it looked lame.

Yep... I definitely burst out laughing at that scene. I cannot believe they included that. It made even less sense in the remake because they're on Earth, not Mars.

Was looking forward to this one & caught a Friday matinee. I liked it, but didn't love it. Really a film enjoyed more for it's cinematography and ambiance, and it's indie arthouse style reminded me of (the superior) film Drive. James Franco was great as always & really surprising to see 2 Disney Channel alum, Selena Gomez & Vanessa Hudgens, in a hard R-rated movie. Needed a better story and more dialogue, seems like Franco's role could've been even better if he was given more to work with. It did not make the mistake of running too long. A decent score composed by Skrillex & Drive composer Cliff Martinez.

I saw this last night and I pretty much agree with your assessment. A very enjoyable movie, but the writing could have been better. Nonetheless, all the girls were nice to look at, there was a nice style to it, the soundtrack was pretty cool, and James Franco was funny as hell.

And yes, there were a ton of boobs in it, for those wondering.
