I haven't seen the original, but I thoroughly enjoyed this one quite a bit. There's not much room for character development because it's one hiest after another and planning, but each character has their own personality, which is always nice. The action sequences are pretty entertaining and my favourite characters are of course the supporting ones, Handsome Rob, Left Ear and Napster.

    12:08 East to Bucharest - 7/10

This is solely a personal review. I don't expect any of you to see this since this is a movie made in my country, of Romania. I thought it was a real doc at first, but then it was clearly a movie because of the characters and whatever it says on IMDB. The story is about a TV journalist who has his own, low-budget show. He's sort of a Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck character, but with a tv show instead, and the controversial subject he does on his show in this plot is whether or not the revolution happened in his city. He calls on two other guests, each with their own problems and things escalate quickly.

It's pretty slow because most of the movie takes place in one room, shot from wide shots to close ups and done purposely bad for comedic effect. It's a comedy too because of some of the callers, but anyone who's ever lived in Europe, and most importantly, a Romanian citizen would appreciate this movie as much as I do. They take something serious and put a funny spin on it, but all in good taste.

    Walk the Line - 9/10

This has to be one of my favourite Jaqoun Phoenix movies, alongside Buffalo Soldiers and The Master. Walk the Line is the live action biopic of the late, great Johnny Cash. And I wouldn't classify this as a musical, but as a biopic drama. It's a damn fine film. Jaqoun can act so perfectly. He is the Marlon Brando of our time. A legend among us mortals. I highly recommend this film if you like music.
Agreed. Walk the Line is an awesome movie.

The only part I thought was cool was Renee Zellweger's character pretending to be a ventriloquist's puppet.

Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story - 7/10

It's a funny ass movie, and it clearly parodies Walk the Line, but then continues it into its own timeline. It's almost a metaphor for how we worship these singers as gods. However, some of the humor felt forced and kinda stupid, that being said, there were some incredibly hilarious parts. Like the Beatles meeting and when he meets Jenna Fischer for the first time and sing the Duet. That was good laughs all around.

    La Femme Nikita: 7.5/10

This is a great start for director, Luc Besson. La Femme Nikita tells the story of a junkie chick who follows a bad path and commits crime. She kills a cop and gets sent to jail for life. It's there where she's given a 2nd chance by a secret government agency who recruits and trains people like her to assassinate important targets. What I love most about it is how she's balancing a relationship with her spouse in the real world and being on call for the government. However, some of it seems a bit random at times. The cinematography is what appeals to me the most in this. France can be shot so nicely if at the right times. And there's a subtle easter egg about Leon, The Professional in there if you pay close attention. It's one of those clever things directors do by inter-connecting characters in their own universe. Kind of Tarantino does with his films.

This is worth a watch for the acting alone. It's really great and the cinematography makes it seem like a contemporary noir. Many remakes and sequels and tv shows were based off this movie. There's a show on the WB channel named Nikita that kinda dwells on the universe Luc has created. It's an ok show, but I just can't seem to take my eyes off Maggie Q and Lydnsay Fonseca. They're so fucking beautiful, and worth watching the show for their sexy bodies.

Seeking a Friend for the End of the World - 7/10

I think this movie has a lot of heart, and the 1st act, up until the half of it, are my favourite parts. I think it went a little too serious, but it somehow makes sense, though it kinda jumbles genres and not well enough. I mean, given the situation the characters are in, its normal to see that kind of drama, but then you could take out the humor. But I dunno, I really liked the humor in this. Kiera Knightly, despite looking like a poster model for anorexia, is kinda smoking hot in this. I think her acting was great, but I think Steve Carrell and Martin Sheen stole the show. It's a fun movie to watch and I wouldn't skip it.

Caddyshack -8/10- I thought Ted Knight did a real good job with his character and as usual Rodney Dangerfield was hilarious.

Jack and the Giant - 6/10

This was an average film with good visual but poor acting and a bland story. Most of us know the story from reading the book at school so the film doesn't break any new ground in that respect. I gave it a 6 because by the last 30minutes I was asking myself will it just end I need to pee!!
