Yes Man (on blu-ray). Quite entertaining, but not one of the best Jim Carrey movies I've seen. Feels quite similar to Liar Liar, kind of have the same theme, but not as crazy/funny as Liar Liar. 5.5/10

Nowhere near as good as the first or even the second it was very disjointed and rushed and was very predictable and with far fewer laughs.
Heather Graham is still mega hot.

    Remember her in this movie?

Quite possibly the worst movie I have ever seen. I can sum up the non-existent plot in about 3 sentences. Very little dialogue and with what little dialogue there was ... it was embarrassing most of the time. The only mildly amusing part of the movie was James Franco attempting to be a gangsta. Also there were a few boobies, but not anywhere near enough to make it entertaining. The girls were cute, but mostly they were incredibly obnoxious and I really didn't care what happened to them except maybe Selena Gomez who seemed to be the only one with some sort of redeeming qualities. The movie has no substance and makes zero sense and the movie just ends without making much sense either. It was just horribly put together. The movie itself isn't all that horrible, but it just feels like 2 hours of almost nothing happening. I'm surprised I stayed awake watching this.

Just watched that yesterday. I agree, I thought it was pretty hilarious.

The trailer didn't do this movie any justice. Of course they had to tailor it to the bigger action and none of the intelligence.

I heard Chris Hemsworth showed his butt in this one. Might be the reason for the latter part of your post

    Don Jon - 7/10

This is basically the guy version of a chick-flick, which is pretty cool and very relate-able. There's some good performances all around and I enjoyed it a lot, but it doesn't quite reach greatness for me.

And I definitely recommend this to anyone who watches or has watched lots of porn. Which is 99% of PSU.

    Rush - 9/10

For those doubting Ron Howard because of The Dilemma, doubt no further. Ron is back on the horse and has really redeemed himself with this one. Rush is about a wild racing rivalry back in the day between James Hunt and Niki Lauda. They were at each others throats for so long, mainly because of a disagreement they had, which sparked the fire. But their personalities certainly don't match, which is what makes their dynamic on-screen so much between. It's really Daniel Bruhl, who plays Niki Lauda, that steals the show in each scene and the writing is so great that you hate and love both characters and sometimes you don't even know which one to root for, until the end. That's what I love about them, they're three dimensional in the highest sense of that term.

Acting and writing aside, the cinematography is great. Feels like you're right there at the races, in the front seat, experiencing the roaring sounds of the F1 cars coming at you. The sound design is a huge factor in making you feel that way and I really gotta give it to the sound department for that.

Excellent film, a must see. If you're an F1 fan, you're gonna cum all over yourself. It made me wanna play Gran Turismo 5 after I got home.

The Dilemma? Let's start with the Dan Brown books he tossed in the garbage. Anyway, Reviews on this movie are pretty good so I'll be objective and give it a shot probably when it hits home video.

    GRAVITY

Gravity is a MUST-SEE and definitely in 3D, as it tops even Cameron's Avatar in its use of it. If Stanley Kubrick was still alive, this is the film he'd make.

The most unique cinematic experience I've had in a long time. Amazing cinematography & effects, spectacular acting by Sandra Bullock. Nothing comes close.

    10 out of 10.

The fact that you said Kubrick would have made this, makes me even more excited to see it. I already bought IMAX 3D tickets. Cannot wait!!!!!

Oh yeah, I forgot about those.

Well, for what it's worth, I would watch this in theaters for the sound of the F1 engines alone and the pace of the editing during the races. I felt my insides vibrate, that's how great the sound is. It's a shame this wasn't shot in IMAX. Especially the race sequences.

    Gravity: 9.5/10

Gravity is a MUST-SEE film of the year runner up. If you love sci-fi, astronomy and film, you will be in sheer awe. Gravity is an experience unlike any other, and it's rare to feel so mentally and physically emotional about it. There are moments in this film that will make you clench your asshole and hold your breath. This has some of the best cinematography I've ever seen and it's Alfonso Cauron, the director of Children of Men, so you already know there's gonna be some $#@!ing amazing camera skills. The long cuts are the best. The way he moves the camera makes the CGI seem realer than ever. This film will put you inside an astronaut's suit, while in space. You will experience space like never before. You will also see how beautiful Earth is. And you will experience the dangers of space as well. And the sound design is $#@!ing awesome. I'm no astronaut, and I've never been to space, but this film makes you believe what you see and hear in space. It plays on your senses.

Please, all of you in this thread since page 1, do yourselves a favour and watch this wonderful film. I hope it wins best acting, best editing, best sound design and best cinematography at the Oscars. Hell, BEST $#@!ING PICTURE TOO!!

day one blu-ray purchase, hands down
