that is a huge jump for MS and not far from sony but i know sony has supply problems but for MS to go from 4K to 35K??
I need a PS3 but for one i can't find one and second i am running low on money
the 360 i have "0" interest in right now unless they get some games that interest me not one has yet.
the PS3 just needs to let me play guitar hero 1+2 and hopefully 3(ps3 version) and motorstorm and i am happy.

Wow. I really, really hope you do realize that the reason for the PS3 being behind the Wii is purely because of the fact that there are production issues. They may be starting to get ironed out, but it still isn't enough. Sony can't sell more than they manufacture... Nintendo was able to manufacture more. If anything, it isn't great news for the Wii, considering had Sony had more units out there, they could have easily taken the top spot. Nintendo may have done the same, but you can't just pick and choose.

As for the 360. Its good, but not nearly good enough. For a game with the hype of Blue Dragon, they needs to be selling far more. However, the increase in sales from the previous weeks are massive. Good for them.

Are you crazy? The wii was more anticipated by japanese people than the PS3. Japan is a place that likes evolution and mark my words the wii will stay above PS3 in Japan for a long time. The people buying the PS3 right now are HARDCORE GAMERS and when it comes down to when the production of the PS3 starts to speed up and the average consumers are the people buying games they will look at the wii's price, and Sony will be in trouble.

Good week for xbox. It deserves a better fate in Japan.

I am glad the ps3 production is going up, we can expect a much stronger end of year.

About the wii, I have the feeling it will destroy both X360 and ps3 in terms of sales until at least the price goes down.

As I am waiting for a ps3, I bought a Wii : while the graphics are not next-gen, they look very ok on a SDTV and the gameplay is absolutely fantastic (wii tennis). I think nintendo has actually expanded the gaming market bringing on casual gamers.

I expect by 2008-2009, when 1080p TV will be the standard john doe TV, the ps3 will appear clearly the best choice for next-gen gaming.

So my predictions is strong sales for Wii in 2007, but ps3 or 360 should overtake, if their prices comes down to 300$/€, by 2008-2009.

For me there are two main reasons. 1) Blue Dragon has been released 2) Its the festive period. It is a better performance from the 360 in JPN but i wouldnt go breaking out the champagne just yet
