Sonic Video for Revolution
Link: http://www.totalnextgen.com/The story on the video: 'sonicstadium.org' was able to capture a behind-the-scenes video on Sonic Next, a confirmed title for the Nintendo Revolution. The video was captured from a distance, sonicstadium states, which compensates for the blurry image.
The movie starts out with a blurred logo of what would appear to be 'Nintendo Revolution.' It appears the 'cameraman' was adjusting his focus for the first bit of the movie, and the footage is quite blurry.
Then, however, the viewer is treated to next-gen quality graphics, definitely not done by some bored teenager. The video plays on a TV screen in a darkened room, with only part of it visible to the camera.
In the end, I don't have a confirmation from the producers of the game, but for now, I'd safely assume this video to be actual next-gen footage. (Doubtful on gameplay, however.)

I believe its real footage but prerendered. I think its prerender because at the end you can hear a lady say something like. We would like to remind you that this is prerendered graphics.

The Video http://www.sonicstadium.org/games/ne.../tech_demo.wmv
The lady at the end actually says (from what i heard):
"This demonstration was done WITHOUT the use of pre-rendered graphics. This next level that you have witnessed may be coming sooner than you think."
Maybe this means Revolution will actually be out earlier than expected.
Edit: Spelling, Grammer, Etc.

That might be what she said Damien. I listened to it at 6am before I had to leave for school. So I couldn't really make out what she said.

Oh, this video... I've seen it before. At about 48 seconds into the video, she says: "What are you seeing is being controlled in real time."
And it definitely looks real-time to me. The person controlling it is moving the camera around, showing different angles.
At the end, she said: "The fact that I want to remind everyone is that this entire performance is done without pre-rendered graphics. This next level that you just witnessed may be coming sooner than you think."
The "may be" is more of a uncertainty than assurance, when she said it.

This is the same video Sega showed at this years E3(behind closed doors). And this wasn't the only game they had in that room(and in that video because this one is clipped).
Afterburner remake, Virtua Fighter5, House of the Dead 4, Chrome Hounds(Xbox360) were also the games shown before and after this Sonic demo.
So this isn't a video for a revolution version. A good guess would be Xbox360 since Chrome Hounds is already announced for Xbox360 so other Sega titles will surely land on there sooner or later.

i thought sega and nintendo were really good friends, and thats why sonic went on the gamcube first instead of ps2 or xbox

I wouldn't think of them as friends. I mean Mario and Sonic had some gaming fights. As in they basically were the main, um, characters? of Sega and Nintendo. While at the time I think Crash Bandicoot was Playstations. That was a rather bad main, um, character? lol.

[LIVE] Sony rolls out the a big guns...
During the Custom Electronics Design and Installation Association (CEDIA) Expo currently under way in Denver, Colorado Sony has not only rolled out 2 new players, but also a 200 disc server/Blu-ray burner.
First the crown jewel of Blu-ray equipment. The HES-V1000 is a a storage and media device equipped with a 500GB hard drive for storing pictures and movies attached to a 200 disc (Blu-ray disc) holder/burner. The V1000 costs around $3500 dollars, but boasts a "ethernet connection [that] shares the XMB (Xross Media Bar) interface with the Playstation3 and PSP consoles." An interesting concept and possible trend we could see from Sony in the future. With its ability to "...stream to other devices, including the PS3..." the V1000 could be a hit amongst high end videophiles.
Last but not least the two Bly-ray players. The two models, the BDP-S2000ES and BDP-S500 both have 1080p visuals and run at 24fps, but the S200 has Sony's new Elevated Standard (ES) which includes; "dual shield construction, a rigid drive bracket, and a rigid beam chassis, all to give the best playback performance." Rounding out the information on the new S200 player, home entertainment and HD enthusiast will be glad to see that it supports, "Dolby Digital TrueHD/DTS-HD Master Bitstream out via HDMI, uncompressed multi-channel liner PCM, BD-ROM/DVD/CD playback, Bravia Theater Sync simplified system interoperability, DVD up-scaling to 1080p via HDMI, AVC-HD with x.v.Color output, and IR-in." Mind you that may not mean much to some, but let me assure you, if you know anything about HD Life, those are the terms you want to see. Both players are still fairly costly at $1300 and $700 respectively.
We at PSU are still wondering where the $199 Blu-ray player for the "average joe" is, but I guess that is just a dream right now. Stay tuned to PSU for more information on SONY and the CEDIA expo.
