I actually saw this movie a couple of months ago on one of the movie channels we have over here. It was actually quite an interresting story and movie.

I think the gender tests used on the athletes is based largely on the levels of certain hormones in the body. Some female athletes take large amounts of testosterone since it's the male hormone that induces muscle development and increases endurance etc in the process.

She probably had a level of male hormones in her system that was equivalent to what your average male would have which is about 20 times more than you find in an average female and not any male bodyparts like some of you would like to believe.
