I love how 7 of the 11 games are games for Nintendo Systems! It's been a good year for them.

I'm at the water temple and I have to say that I love the game but I don't think it's game of the year material. It feels like same old Zelda--the game play really hasn't evolved much from Ocarina of Time, a late 90s game, not to mention all Zelda stories are pretty much the same. Game of the year for me has to be something new and exciting.

Ive just completed the water temple but I agree that this is game of the year. I havent been this engrosed in a game since I played Farenheit on the PC. Although similar to OoT the size of the world has increased and the control system work excellently. Aiming is a peice of cake, the only downside is the bosses are a bit easy but thats not always a bad thing as it means the story can continue without it being to fustrating.

    Couldn't care less.
Not could care less. If you could care less about something you actually care about it.

I just played a demo, but as far as I'm concerned Hitman Blood Money has more GoTY potential than Zelda:TP

Just finished the game. Game of the year might be a bit much, I found it to be way, way too easy- none of the puzzles really require that much thought. The boss battles were cake (especially if you've played previous games).

While I don't think it's game of the year caliber either, it's still good. I think you'll see the next zelda do some really cool stuff with the Wiimote besides just waggling to swing your sword. I think you'll see more logic puzzles use the pointer to manipulate objects in the game world. That should open up a lot of doors. This one felt kinda weak since it was designed for the cude, so all the puzzles were kinda "locked down" to stuff only possible with a controller.

I'm not sure actually. I don't think I've played enough games to make that call. For shear fun I'd say Guitar Hero II, but that isn't "new and exciting" either as its basically just GH with new songs.

I'm tempted to say Oblivion but the game wasn't quite polished enough to deserve it either.

I've haven't played Zelda myself, but it's hard for me to believe that it would beat Gears of War for game of the year.
