Indeed it is good I would like to see more online games. My favorite online game is PSO although it lacked ideas and new things to do.
If you put limits on yourself on what you do, you may aswell be dead.It will eventually spread into your entire being. There are no limits only plateauxs. You must go beyond them. If it kills you, it kills you.

Online
Yeah, online games are cool but you should be able to play the game offline too. Lord of the Rings and Need for Speed are two examples of games that you can do this with but can they do that with RPG's? They should have a second disk or somthing for online games. Its hard to pay for online play if you can't work. EverQuest seemed like and interesting game to play... when i found out that it was only for online i didnt want to buy it. What will they do about that?
Why do people depend on eachother? ...When in the end your on your own.

I think the fee for buying the game is enough. More people would be enclined to buy it then which in the long term would give more money.

Yea, I agree. A good example of a free online gaming network is ‘Battlenet’. Games like Diablo II, Warcraft 3 and Starcraft are all played on Battlenet. It's got a huge community, and is funded through the price of the game so you don’t have to pay anything, apart from the game itself of course!
This is definitely the way to go. I can't see people paying monthly subscriptions to play online games, especially when you need to pay for broadband and the £40 for the game.

It's too much to buy all that in the long run but I guess it depends on how desperate you are to play an online game lol. I wouldn't particularly like to see Resident Evil online if the gameplay is the same because that I'm sure won't work very well.

EXACTLY!
That is exactly what I mean. the game should be enough. to provide internet play too.

Mainly I am just looking forward to see how they will do it rather than the game itself lol.

Most games that are online, or will be online in the future will still retain the single player modes. It would be ludicrous to get rid of that option, after all not everyone will have broadband, and not everyone will want to play online. There will only be a few games that are only playable online like Final Fantasy XII, most other online games will keep the online part as an extra - like in Gran Turismo where they want to let you download new cars and tracks etc and upload your best times.

But it will eventually come to being only-online games.

It's a possiblilty but I doubt it will happen, there are alot of areas which don't have broadband. Apart from the majority it's advisable to support the minority of gamers with a selection of gaming types and modes.

I think that online games are one of the best things that the PS2 has to offer. I just don't want to pay.

Yeah, why should we pay for playing the game when they cost 50$... It costs 100$ for Final Fantasy XI

yeah know what you mean it's pointless paying for an online game and then having to pay to play it online but i suppose it just for the money
