Basically it gets rated like this for me.
1) Bleach
2) Naruto
3) Full Metal
I need to find out when Naruto is going to stop sucking with fillers and continue the story.

None. I tried to watch anime, but it is not for me

Other than Dragon Ball and Pokemon (are they anime?), nothing has really hit me or intrigue me enough to watch it or follow it.

I love Outlaw Star. There are others...(is Case Closed considered anime?) I just can't think of any right now. (I'm really not a big fan)

The only anime I ever saw was Full Metal Alchemist, and it kicked ass.
Unfortunately I haven't been able to find another anime that goes with the same art style and brutallity.

That movie made me download the series

Personally I'm not really into it although all my friends are which is odd.
That said the only 2 that are in the genre are Excel Saga and Samurai pizza cats.
Girl Friend tried to get me on to Naruto but when I found out there where 150+ episodes I just didn't even bother.

I haven't actually sat down and watched anime for over two years, and I don't really know why. I never got tired of it, but I used to like Gundam, Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Vampire Hunter D, Akira, and Kenshin.
For the most part all I saw was what aired back in the states, but I did enjoy it."My strategy has to be tragedy, catastrophe, and after this you'll call me your majesty..."

I watch anime a lot. Now I'm watching Black Blood Brothers, Death Note, D. Gray-Man, Detective Academy Q, Bakuretsu Tenshi, Kyou Kara Maou and Black Lagoon. So yeah, I have one anime for each day of the week.
My favorites, well, there are many. Cowboy Bebop, Fullmetal Alchemist, Detective Academy Q, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex episodes, Last Exile, Genshiken etc. These are just those what I remember. I don't have any series which goes above all the others.
I am more into mangas however and here I can say my favorite ones. One Piece (my absolute favorite) and Berserk in close second place. Eyeshield 21 and Flame of Recca have a place in my heart too.Man who chase after bus get exhausted, man who run in front of bus get tired
Man who masturbates in class has firm grip of subject at hand
Woman who sink in man's arms soon have arms in man's sink

I grew up watching anime litearly. I never liked American cartoons to much, so I tend to have a slight bias for anime :3
Favorites:
Galaxy Express 999(You know how old this is lol)
Lain
Gankutsuou
Scrapped Princess
Hellsing
Ucchu no Stellvia
Tsukihime
Rozen Miaden
Outlay Star
G-Gundam
O8th MS Team
I could go on with this list :3
I defiantly like Ucchh no Stellvia and Gankutsuou the most. The latter is 10x better then FMA if you haven't seen it yet.Member # 11 of the balanced gamers group

I rarely watch anime, but when I do it's because someone has recommended a film to me. I've seen Vampire Hunter D, Ninja Scroll (the film) and Ghost In The Shell. I also really love anything from Studio Ghibli : I've watched Spirited Away, Princess Mononoko, My Neighbour Totoro (love this), Castle In The Sky and Pom Poko. I've yet to see Howl's Moving Castle but I will do soon.

My favourites are as follows:
Berserk - Manga superior though. Gory to the max and really weird, Guts (Gatsu) is the manliest animé character ever.
Kenshin TV,OVA:s - It's Kenshin. Best action animé ever IMO. Even the TV-series with it's comical touches.
Trigun - I just love the main character. How he can be so stupid one time and get serious in an instant.
Seikai no monshou, senki 1 & 2 - Best space opera animé. If you are into Sci-fi you should watch this. They even created a new language for this one.
Nadia: Secret of Blue Water - I though it was really kiddy in the first eps. But it's a really epic animé. Like a Ghibli movie but a lot longer. From the creators of Neon Genesis Evangelion. Some people can't stand the main characters though.
Maison Ikkoku - Best love/comedy story ever. Although it's 96 episodes it never feels boring. Old but good.
Kimagure Orange Road - Also a nice high school romance animé. Old but good.
Rose of Versaille - Really good for being from the 70s. Romance/historic setting animé. If you are into history and the french revolution. Watch now!
Juuni Kokki - Best fantasy story out there. The animation in the series is kind of bad but music/story/characters top notch.
School Rumble - Funny ****. Especially season 1.
Love Hina - Everyone should see this. Good comedy but not for everyone.
GTO - Is really good also but I prefer the manga.
Full Metal Alchemist - Really overrated series but I guess it is worth a watch.
City Hunter - Just watch one season and see if you like it. Ryo Saeba rules, he is most likely the character they got inspired by when creating Varsh in Trigun. But he is a lot more perverted.
Princess Mononoke - It's the best movie I have watched together with Ninja Scroll.
I have really watched too many animés through the years. But these are the best there is in my humble opinion.
Edit: If you want more information about series just search for them on www.animenfo.com.
I don't know if this is allowed here but on anime.mirkx.org you can find most of them on bittorrent. http://www.baka-updates.com is also a good source.

For those of you, who don't watch alot or have little exposure. I recommend watching fansubs. Anime in America isn't what it use to be. Back then it was popualr and all kinds of anime got licnesed and aired on TV.
Now the only anime that airs and get licensed over here in America is kids shows and overly popualar stuff like Naruto, One Piece, and yes Full Metal Alchemist(the subbed version is better).
Fansubs allow you to see anime, you wouldn't normally see over here on TV, or anime that just goes straight to DVD. It will help you expand you viewing experience and make you like it alot more. I think youtube has some old fansubbed shows, but you are better off looking for the fresh anime via BT and other places.Member # 11 of the balanced gamers group
