I know I should probably know this, but I don't...

Will I be able to plug my existing Xbox Live Communicator into the Xbox 360 controller? Looking to buy a new headset(possibly the Halo 2 one) but I don't think it would be worth it if I can't use it for my Xbox 360. Thanks guys

Aren't you buying the premium bundle?

Cliff Bleszinski(Gears of War) on David Jaffe's God of War: I warn you, though, if you play God of War, other games aren't as good anymore. It's like eating a really good steak, and then going back to Sizzler.

Yes, I am(if I don't win it) but you can still have 4 people playing Live on one Xbox, and so it would be nice to have 4 headsets also.

umm if I can remember correctly, it wasn't possible to have more than one mic being activated in any game on Xbox Live (and another thing was that only the first player could use the headset, the headset didn't work with the other 3 players), if they changed it and upgraded it so that you can now have 4 headsets going simultaneously then I can understand, otherwise I don't remember seeing that upgrade in their new Xbox Live package.

Really? I never knew this. Of course, I just assumed it was possible. I had guests in Halo 2 on Xbox live, which made sense that they couldn't talk(I mean, the haven't paid for the game, an xbox, or xbox live, why let them talk?) but what if you had two accounts on Xbox Live on one xbox, you still couldn't use two headsets?

I'm not sure how you can use two accounts running simultaneously on one Xbox, if it's possible then sure why not.

Yeah, you can have 4 running simultaneously on one xbox. I tend to run 2 at a time, but have seen other people use 3. Never seen four, but I am *assuming* that it can run four.

Multiple accounts or just guests under one account ?

Cool i always thought it was guests playing under the same account.

So i could go round my mates and play with my gamer tag while he plays under his gamer tag of the same xbox at the same time ? never knew that was possible

Yep, splitscreen Xbox Live gaming. Works great for Team Slayer or Team Skirmish, because you can screen look to tell what half of your team is doing.

I think it's possible to have one account and the rest of them guests. I guess you can just enter your code or something and sign on with your account if you wanna use your own headset.

    For the record...

    1. No, you will not be able to use your old Xbox Communicator on the 360. Gotta drop the dough on the new one (which doesn't look as comfortable IMO)

    2. Yes, on Halo 2 at least, you can have up to four Xbox Live accounts all logged in simultaneously while on splitscreen. And yes, all four players can use thier headsets.

Actually, from what I heard a while back you could use your old Headset.

Just because you see a bigger connector on the Xbox360 headset, doesn't mean that it needs that. If you look at the port on the bottom, look close at the middle section, it is basically your standard cell phone headset jack like what the Xbox Communicator had for its headset.

So why put a different jack? Well the new jack will support pretty much every non-bluetooth cellphone headset out there. So, they gave users more options.

Sweet, I was hoping you knew something about that. I had thought I heard something about being able to use old ones, but I just wasn't sure. I think I'll get a Halo 2 headset. Awesome.

[LIVE]Sony Hires Former Sega Marketing VP

Two weeks after Sony's Former PR head Dave Karraker left Sony Computer Entertainment America, Sony found themselves a new PR head. Former SEGA marketing Vice President Scott Steinberg will take his position as marketing VP starting October 1st.

Early September this year, Dave Karraker surprisingly announced he would be leaving Sony Computer Entertainment America. Karraker didn't give any reason of why he had left Sony.

Steinberg first started working for SEGA in 1990 in the years of the Genesis. Furthermore he has previously worked in the marketing business for companies as Eidos Interactive and Crystal Dynamics.

We wish Scott Steinberg best of luck working for SCEA!

don't really understand what the difference is between marketing VP and PR head...can someone explain?

Can you find another source for this? N4G isn't considered a reliable source by PSU.

Edited & Live. And yes, Gamasutra is fine.

Regarding your question, I believe they are both the same thing. Karraker was marketing vice president of SCEA, or 'PR head' for short. Thats what I have been lead to believe, anyway.
