For some unknown reason, a small grey box has appeared on my Friends tab.

So has anybody else seen this before?

And because I know that somebody is going to ask--no, it's not a message.

i haven't seen that one, but i saw warmachine042's say "get in the chopper!" or something like that
i thought it was just a message??????

It's always been there. Its a small text bubble you can ad something to it. My own says "Happy Holidays".

Yeah you can say whatever you want on there... when I first got my PS3 my message there was "PS3 ****ING RULES!" hahaha...

It doesnt censor it like this site though.

the XMB background colour changes depending on the time of day
White=Day Time
Black=Night Time
I've seen it Red, and Yellow too

So how do change it different colors besides grey/black? Oh and I love the music play designs...I hope they get more though. Does anyone know about the screen saver thing? theres an option for it but nothing.....

Yeah it goes to red and black really early in the morning like 6 or 7am or something I think.. .ive seen it red, black, white, green/yellow... its neat.

the screen saver is just a dimmer..... after the set amount of time it dims the screen... you dont need this if you have most HDTVs as burn in is not an issue.

Yeah, the message box is easy, you just highlight your name in your buddy list and press triangle

Mine says "I like cheese"

Yea, I've known about this one since day 1. The people on my friends list keep asking me about it too. Mine says "Poontastic!" ...(check the PNP name.)

I wish you could put more characters in the little grey box. Me and my friend put phrases that are in a language no one else on our friend lists understand.
