Agreed, I love the HD DVD box set for Mission Impossible.... and I guess the Blu-ray version too (HD DVD ones look better in this case though), hopefully they will do a full on Trilogy release in box form for the Matrix series. Ill be getting it.

I would buy a Matrix Box set if it comes out on Blu-Ray. In just a short amount of time, Blu-Ray has really pulled out an attach on HD-DVD.

Harry Potter for the win. Seriously, with the hype around the sixth book and the new movie about to come out, this is a huge win for the BluRay camp.

I predict that George Lucas will wait for 200GB discs so he can put the first Trilogy on one disc with a bunch of bonuses and the second trilogy on another disc with a bunch of bonuses.
That will also give him plenty of time to tech his way out of some shortcomings in the original masters from the first trilogy like makeup showing up in HD as well as some other things. My guess is it will end up a lot like some other movies that are out on HDDVD and BluRay that have stock HD mastering and using some of the DVD remaster content as well to "cover the blemishes".
It will take time, money, patience, and a whole lot of work to pull off.

No, the original trilogy can't look that good. BUT, the more recent trilogy could look tremendous. I think Episode 3 was the clearest looking DVD I've ever seen.
Can't wait to get a flat panel. I just might have to splurge when GT5 comes out. I can't just not be able to play when I'm moving between work and school.
