For the last few days, since before CES, blu-ray has been outpacing HD-DVD sales in Amazon.

Sales in other brick & mortar stores have in favor of blu-ray since December 2006

I bunch of the popular titles are on back order (shipping in 4-6 weeks) on Amazon.ca...I can say that its a lot easier to get HD DVD titles then BR right now...

Doesn't matter as long as Sony gets the Sale. Hell my first DVD player was my PS2 cause regular DVD players were too expensive at the time (Not having to rewind was awesome.).

God does this remind me of the DVD sales after the PS2 release.

Before the PS2, I had never thought twice about DVD, as soon as it was released EVERYONE started buying DVDs. If history repeats itself, Blu-Ray will take over the market much faster than DVD did, considering HD DVD wasn't even an established format.

Blu-Ray is really looking strong. And with the new library of titles coming out, HD DVD is going to have to think of something quick.

I ordered Crank and pre-ordered Saw 3 off Amazon.com last friday, and it says Crank won't arrive till next Tuesday (23rd) at the earliest. Not to mention Saw 3 won't get to my house till 2 weeks after that's released? Why so long? Amazon is usually quick with this stuff? I ordered off Amazon cause Target and Circuit City didn't have the newest releases on Blu-Ray. I didn't check Wal-Mart though. The only upside was the free shipping on orders over 25 dollars. Since the average Blu-Ray cost 27 bucks, thats a plus. But still don't understand why it takes so long!

I can vouch for increased sales, becaues I'm one of the people jumping on the bandwagon, I'm going to pick up MI3 and Corpse bride soon, I hear these are two of the best for quality, and I just picked up four brothers and black hawk down, just amazing quality, most of my movies will be on blu ray from now on.

Sony's player just happens to play Blu Ray films better than some standalone players.

The PS2 was my first DVD player as well.

The PS2 was instrumental in the DVD revolution, and will do the same with Blu Ray.

I started my collection by preordering Goodfellas and I got Ice Age 2 for my neice. That movie looks incredible on a plasma. I was very impressed after watching Talledaga Nights which really didn't have the quality I was expecting.

Sure people are buying for games but the fact that it plays bluray is a big plus. I never really wanted to support any HD movies because I have like 500 DVD's. However, after I bought my first Bluray movie I was hooked. I will definitely start buying only Bluray movies except for the ones that wont be released on it. I'm going to buy regular DVD for the titles that dont come out on Bluray. The PS3 has definitely change the tide of the whole HD war.
