We should be able to reply and tell him what a piss poor job they did on the fuctionality of the multiplayer component of Gears of War. The game is fun, but it lacks even the most basic of features.

I don't miss all the features. I don't like hosting maps, or screwing around with options. I like turning on the 360, finding a game and shooting stuff. Which it does very well.

Well, for the simple minded, (no offence) it's great. For people like myself who would like to be able to switch maps and weapons after a round is over, the game fails. I'm talking about the basics here, not very sophisticated stuff.

So, I hate a game because I call it out on it's lack of online functionality?

It's not being simple minded... it's nice not getting annoyed with a host who is screwin around changing things up and doing whatever he wants regardless of what the room wants.

You know what your getting, annoying arrogant "i want it my way" pricks don't ruin the experience for everyone else in the room (no offence, not saying your like that...but lots are).

It's a design decision to leave it simple, with as little down-time as possible, and to keep it as even as possible. I think it's great. I don'
t like R6's online because of what people can do, stacking sides/booting/changing my weapon layout/running timers down. It get's frustrating when you just want to get a game going and enjoy it.

I understand, but for the people who would like those features, they are SOL. I can't see how having the ability to change the map after a round is over if I wanted to is not simple. You must not like any other online XBL games except Gears of War then, right? Because, every other XBL game has those basic features.
