If noone buys it of course.
I would love to say that the revolution is awesome, that the controller is pimp, and that nintendo to return.
But I've been struggling, do I want Nintendo to succeed? Do I want Sega's rival; the anti online nazis; the perpretrators behind the multiple hardware release (gameboy advance, gameboy sp, nintendo ds, gameboy micro in 5 years bullshit) to succeed?
I don't go for that Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor shit so I'll buy an xbox, but it is noteworthy that they are almost solely a japanese company, so I guess I'm kind of outsourcing my soul, but at least it's not like EA.
Speaking of EA, in an era of growing greed pigs such as the aforementioned EA and with rumpounding Microsoft behind them I feel that Nintendo still actually cares about it's games. But then I question myself, why are they making nintendo baseball, mario party, mario eats pizza. Why don't they just make Mario is getting high in Shroomland once more?
It's all so confusing.
The controller will probably rock, but can I support a company that would rather have me playing Toad skinny dipping in Warluigi's secretion plant. I'm sorry, but I'm tired of all this bullcrap.
Also, miyamoto is an asshole, regardless of the quality of his games, he is a japanese tycoon with the worst of them.
So, who will take the plunge and buy a revolution no matter what? I realize topics like this have already been made before, but I would like people to respond to my comments and form their own opinions.
Cause thats what cool people do

Revolution will blow
History is what defines us, and our history is too bloody for us to want more killing, we need peace in the middle east.

well, for one, I find this topic pointless because there have been tons of these "Will you buy the Revolution no matter what" threads. Im aware that you already said that also.
I will buy a Nintendo Revolution unless they all of a sudden decide that they no longer need Metroid Prime series, the Mario series, and the Zelda series. But them just dropping all three of those series would be the most rediculous thing any company has ever done, probably.
Although if they made another Eternal Darkness I probably would just buy a revolution just for that. They might have already made another one, if so I missed out on that.
Also, did you say that because the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor you would buy an Xbox, or were you saying that some people say that? I know my friend refuses to buy a Playstation because he thinks one day they will plant bomb in all the American Version and blow them up at the same time and kill all of us, Americans.
According to some artical they are changing the ways of Zelda and Mario. Apparently Mario has a new partner that has never been in a Mario game before. Why? Luigi is just not cool anymore I guess. They are brothers, and now they aren't partners. They better have a good explaination for that.
So in conclusion, if I could afford to buy all three systems, I would. Since I can only afford one, it would probably be the PS3, due to the exclusives that are the best. Im sticking to only Japanese systems next generation, just like this generation. If I manage to be able to afford a Nintendo Revolution I'll be it before an xbox 360.
They only way I'll get all three systems next generation, is if I manage to win on the everytenminutes xbox 360 giveaway, I get a job and buy the Playstation 3 and Nintendo Revolution. Im doubting I will get a job that will be good enough to pay for even one of the systems.

No matter what you think of Nintendo as a company now, the fact remains that you will have access to the entire library of Nintendos consoles with the Revolution. That alone warrants a purchase by me because I love oldschool games and hate the fact that my Roms are illegal and dont help the developers in any way. The Rev will give me a sanctioned outlet for my classic gaming passion. It's not my fault that my 19 year old NES just doesnt read many cartridges anymore. I've had to resort to downloading Roms to play some of the games I love.
Revolution will allow me to not only get those NES and SNES games I love, but also get to enjoy those N64 games I passed up because I went to the PS1 long ago. The Revolution will be a revival of epic proportions to the classic gamer who probably hasnt bought a console ever since they got a job and a gaming PC. The Revolution will allow a whole new generation to understand the roots of gaming by having access to games that may predate their birth.
All in all, Nintendo is doing a great thing with the Revolution and they are also making the leap to online. It's clear that the Rev will have wireless networking right out of the box which is something that MS expects you to pay $100 extra for. Nintendo knows the direction it wants to go to and you can either jump on board or get left behind. You won't be able to enjoy the view from a mountain top after a nice long hike if all you want is a Space Shuttle to get around with. Nintendo is a different system, from a different company, with a different mentality. No hate for anyone who doesn't understand, but I will think about you when I have some friends over and we are all laughing and having a good time while playing Super Smash Bros or taking turns playing Zelda1 just for kicks and nostalgia.

I have noticed that the entire library will be back catalogued. And that is a good idea, especially if they re release the games in cartridge form or some cool nolstalgia bit.
But don't underestimate Nintendo's controller, if it is so great, so good, then you will NOT want to play some older games. Immediately you reply, your wrong, I would play nintendo games, but then I counter with personal experience.
I too enjoy playing classic genesis games on the genesis, the simplicity of the controller, the ease of which sonic glides in green hill zone or the way Pippen takes the ball downcourt in Hangtime. Games like that, games like mario will always be good like that. But games like super mario bros., they will not be the same.
Case in point: twisted metal 2. This game was awesome, my favorite game for the playstation, coop was genius, the game was genius. Fast forward to 2001 when I plead forgiveness from my dreamcast as I purchase a ps2 and get introduced to dual shock. The analog stick mostly, it revolutionized my life, and the way I played games. I can no longer play twisted metal 2 with the silly arrow pad, I must always play black. And that's not becuase black is a better game, twisted metal 2 is much better, but the analog made the difference.
Now, super smash could be like mario, or it could be like twisted metal 2. But you better believe their will always be games like twisted metal 2. If the revo's controller kicks an unholy amount of ass, then a large percentage of gaming library goes down the tubes as better, but just not the same.
Or nintendo could get crazy and make those games revo controller compatible.
Which means epic

According to a post on the official PlayStation Blog by Cory Barlog, the God of War: Chains of Olympus demo has been shipped to those who had signed up to receive them.
