Electronic Arts announced a few minutes ago that UEFA Champions League 2006-2007 would be released next spring on both Xbox 360 and PS2. First screens of the 360 version inside.

Is that a way to define EA's yearly cash out off FIFA(Road to WC, WC, CL whatver else they wanna call it).

Really though the players should sue EA, look at Adriano, what happened to him?He looks scary as heeeell. Stankovic looks like he needs something to eat.

What the F' did they do to Helguera?

Makaay looks decent, but damn the other guys look horrible, like they jumped straight out of Marca Toons(especially Cannavaro) .



They had that demonstration of facial modelling where the players looked great(Ronaldo, Kaka , Ljungberg) and now they show this?This is not CL, more like "sunday league" edition.

More games is better, especially when it's the same game with updated rosters and CL 2006-2007 logos instead of FIFA 07 logos.

Capcom should release Lost Planet again just as it is, only that the hero(Wayne) wearing a purple suit, and the game to be called "Pimp Planet", that would be another game too by yours and EAs standards.

I don't judge a game just off facial expression, but at the moment, thats all that EA can give you over PES, and when even that looks scary/akward, unwillingly funny, then why even consider an EA football/soccer game?

And they do look scary as hell, when EA gives me a photo realistic demo of Ronaldo and Kaka, thats what i expect to see, i don't expect to see a zombie Helguera, an anorexic Stankovic and an insane Adriano.It just looks terrible, i would rather have them not go that much into details than make them look that dumb.

Like it or not, loving or hating the players models, FIFA is still the top selling football game in Europe, and being it still an Xbox 360 (next-gen) exclusive is always good news.

FIFA has always sucked in comparison to PES. EA is just wealthy enough to buy all the licenses, but this year PES managed to snag several licenses, i think mexico and brazil national teams were part of the deal.

I wish they could all just buy licenses sorta like NBA Live and NBA 2k, and then have the games duke it out on gameplay forcing the devs to make a good game.

I've bought FIFA 2007 for my 360 and i liked it in the beginning but i got frustrated with the gameplay after only about a week of solid play . I'm selling FIFA 2007 now .

I now wish i hadn't bought the game and rather got PES 2006 . I can settle for awesome gameplay and craptastic graphics .

And for all PES fans, who all presumably want Licenses, the best way of getting it is to make the game more popular... and th best way of doing that is to make it as visually pleasing as possible. Having a game which looks like a Ps2 game isn't helping anyone.

Very few people buy it, especially not the americans. Therefore basically no online....
No proper manager mode, had a sort of story mode....

Yeah, konami showed no love for the 360 version of PES. I actually think the gameplay is better, but to then leave out such basic features is unforgivable. Oh and the first HD PES? Ummm, you make it HD and it looks slightly cell shaded????? I prefer it @ a SD..... which is sad.

Technically, FIFA 07 doesn't have the Champions League in it, nor I believe does it have all of the time.

If it doesn't come out on the PS3, it is EA's doing (choice, however you want to put it) and nothing to do with Microsoft (same with FIFA 07).

As far as I know they always try to improve their game with the Uefa game, but it's never such a big improvement if you compare it from the last version...that's a fact So only expect big improvements in Fifa '08.

Im seriously waiting for a football game where you can either start off as a young player or a young coach from any country. Then coach or play for the team that gives you the best offer. Later on progress to a better team, and eventually make your National squad. Then compete in the world cup, etc.

Sorry if anyone wanted 100% official licensing for PES....... unfortunately EA signed an extension to their contract. If I remember correctly it is for the next 8 years or something like that.

People shouldn't whinge though. If you want great graphics and official licenses, chapions league, UEFA cups then buy the FIFA games.

If you want great gameplay, great animations with slightly poorer graphics, the buy pro evo...... Its simple.
