There you have it folks.. the OFFICIAL date for flOw from Sony themself.
http://ps3.ign.com/articles/756/756332p1.html
Now for afew extra things tooJanuary 17, 2007 - "What's the deal with flOw and its release date?" is one of the most asked questions we get here at IGN PS3, and we've been wondering the same thing ourselves. First advertised for a December release on the official PlayStation 3 website, and then January, ThatGameCompany's port of the wildly successful flash game has been conspicuous by its absence... and we wanted to get to the bottom of it.
To do so, we called up representatives at Sony Computer Entertainment America and asked them for the official word. Luckily, we got it, and the mystery of flOw's mysterious street date was finally made public:
"We'll be posting a trailer at the end of this month [January] / beginning of next," clarified our Sony contact. "As for the game itself, we'll be releasing near the end of February."
A specific day that gamers can expect to the organism-eating flOw wasn't provided and neither was a final pricing structure. We expect to learn both over the next couple of weeks.
CALLING ALL CARS: END OF MARCH

Go! Puzzle: late feburaryJanuary 17, 2007 - Spokespeople at Sony Computer Entertainment were on a roll today when it came to telling us about the fate of its downloadable games. First the company confirmed flOw for a late February release and then revealed a name change for its unreleased puzzler, Go! Swizzleblock2. But that wasn't all, because as the old saying goes, "Everything happens in threes." To complete its EDI information trifecta, Sony reps also revealed that David Jaffe's upcoming vehicle-based actioner, Calling All Cars, would hit the PlayStation Store sometime in March.
"It's really coming along just as expected," remarked the Sony representative. "If it continues like this, then it should be ready to go before the end of March."
Calling All Cars, formerly known as Criminal Crackdown, is a drastically different project than the God of War mastermind's last project and is said to be a hybrid of games such as Demolition Derby, Twisted Metal, and Bomberman. From what's been seen so far, it's targeted at a more casual audience and has a distinct "pick up play" vibe about it. Either way, we want to play and should have more on it rather soon.

.... sounds yummy guys!!!! some nice things coming out for February.. its going to be a good month.January 17, 2007 - Just prior to Sony's October 2006 PS3 media event, a list of downloadable PlayStation Store games had been slipped before they were supposed to be. Among the six titles on the roster was Go! Swizzleblock2 -- a "cube-swapping puzzle game" that challenged players to match colors in an effort to remove every last block from their screen. Not too soon after the leak, Sony confirmed Swizzleblock's existence as well as that of the other unsubstantiated titles -- flow, Lemmings, Blast Factor, Calling All Cars, and Go! Sudoku.
And then there was silence...
In the three months since the game's confirmation (and only in paper form at that), almost nothing about Swizzleblock has been revealed to the public. As it turns out, this was all for good reason since Go! Swizzleblock doesn't quite exist under that title anymore.
"Swizzleblock is actually part of Go! Puzzle," commented Sony Computer Entertainment representative Patrick Seybold when speaking with IGN. "We'll be revealing more on it and Go! Puzzle's other features before its release in late February."
Go! Puzzle is the second title to be confirmed for release on the PlayStation store today. Sony reps also revealed to that flOw will appear around the same time frame in a discussion with IGN earlier this afternoon.

I hope flOw does come out at the end of February. I don't mind waiting, but it is hard to take when it keeps getting pushed back on the expected "release days" (even if they were not official).
Personally, I wish Sony/Thatgamecompany would give us some new screenshots or videos to hold us over.

I got a question. I wanna get fl0w when it comes out. Cause A.) it looks intersting, and B.) i think it'll get the wife into some gaming. HOWEVER, we don't have the internet at home yet. So do you think its possible to take the PS3 to a house that DOES have the internet, hook up, register and DL, and then take it back home to play it? Think it'll work, or do you think it'll register what IP address it went to and ect? Thoughts?

It's a very different gameplay mechanic with beautiful visuals, and it definitely won't be for everyone. I for one have no interest in sports games, and don't really understand how people can stand to play basketball (real life or in games lol)... but a lot of people seem to like it. The same is very true for games like flOw.

To get a better sense of flOw, you should try the flash game the author did while in school. It's more of a simulation game than anything, with a relaxing pace, so if you don't like those kinds of games you might want to stay clear of this.
Personally I am very hyped for this game and can't wait til it is released.

Hey come on man, do you HAVE to be a sports fan to be qualified for "having a life"? Pretty much EVERYTHING you do is "a life", be it listening to music, playing an instrument, drinking with friends, going to school, etc.
So what if he's hyped for a simplistic game. You don't have to ding him for it"Very nice, how much?" - Borat Sagdiyev

lol

I didn't say I don't like sports (other than basketball, I suppose), I just don't like sports video-games. I don't have much time to play "real-life" team sports, but I do make time for hockey.
Mainly I was just trying to make a point that flOw won't be for everyone, and I used my disinterest in sports games (and again basketball in general) as a comparison.
