I was just reading that, the Pirates movies will definitely sell well.
Now if only the Lord of the Rings movies would come out on Blu-ray...

I loved POTC 1, and 2 was ok, but i dont think that would end the war, unless they were elclusive on Blu-Ray along with others like The LOTR trilogy and Star Wars series. If all of those were exlusively on Blu-Ray, and never going to hd-dvd, Blu-Ray would win

Isn't Pirates exclusive to Blu-Ray, being a Disney owned franchise and all. Also, if Star Wars were to get released in HD, wouldn't it be Fox, which is also Blu-Ray only? LOTR however is New Line, which does both.

One thing is for certain.
If you want HD spiderman 1 2 and 3, Pirates 1, 2 and 3, if you want HD james bond, or if you want HD star wars, then Blu ray is your player of choice.
You won't get them on any other HD player

Its about time the war format will be over and Blu-Ray will won the war.
With PTC 1&2 and Spiderman 1&2
And with Spiderman 3 movie released this march.
It will probably kick HD-DVD

Pirates 1&2 and Cars, thats going to be pretty sweet month of selling blu-rays for a Disney.
When I finally get my ps3 it does look like I will buy more blu-ray disks within couple of months than I ever did buy DVDs.. :P

HAHA, comes out in May. The same time the 3rd Pirates hits theaters. If they release Spiderman 1 and 2 on blu-ray in May, HD-DVD will be lost. Matrix trilogy would be nice too!
I hope by the time Smokin Aces comes out on DVD, Blu-Ray will have a deal with Universal. That movie looks awesome, but it's a Universal title. This will be a HUGE coup for BluRay, but the war is over when Harry Potter hits BluRay.
The sales of Harry Potter between formats will show very clearly the demand between the two products because it is almost as big of a franchise as Star Wars.
