"PSX," My two questions

1. So PSX is released in europe in 2004 right? How come I've never saw them not even once in a game store? Has it actually been released or not? I'm not really clear about this,

2. Isnt "PSX" what they call the earliest Playstation? The really big one before PSone? You know, this:

Komiyama said the reason for the PSX launch's postponement in America and Europe was so that Sony could make the machine more appealing to its customers in the two regions. In order to make the PSX competitive against other DVD recorders in the American market, Sony is rushing to add as-yet-unrevealed additional specifications and functions to the PSX. The PSX was originally released in Japan last December without previously announced capabilities like MP3 and DVD-RW compatibility, and its sales in the country are still lagging.

They decided to call it that because it was the biggest thing and the best...but it wasn't an offical name says many sources. It was that it spreaded real fast that it was PSX...X standing for the supreme system...however when PSOne came out that's when the new name came out and everyone uses that now....

Im betting even when it does hit store shelves you wont be able to find it in just any ol' store that happens to carry game consoles. You'll problly have to go to a specialty game store.

I was on google news and guess who is now on there?
PS3portal.com now is on google news. We really need to step it up and get our RSS feeds going so we can get on google news. That alone will bring us so much traffic, specially since we are constantly coming out with new news everyday.

I agree with RSS feeds, though they will be coming with the new backend. Where does it say you need RSS feeds to get listed on Google News though? Also, where is PS3Portal's RSS feed?

PS3Portal doesn't have RSS feeds. Don't know how they got on there.

It could well be the RSS - it's the easiest way for Google to take the title and the first paragraph and put it on Google News.

Although Rebon makes a good point - where is PS3Portal's RSS Feed? As I said above, I don't think they have one.

That sucks that it can't be indexed. That being said, it's unlikely that they'll ever be front-paged and so the amount of traffic from it won't be huge.

Bhav, try replying and asking why it cannot be indexed.
