Sorry mods : you need to bring back game section as before !

Dear moderators,

just do a comparison of the threads and th exposure they have between the game section and the general ps3 discussion : the "new"games section is not working because it' too specialized ! it's very painful to browse all the sub sections and as a matter of fact, some great threads are not being totally discussed between the forum members.

For the reason i poseted here, it's obvious : so that other memebres will read it because i think i'm not theonly one that is bugged with this organization.

Keessie sent me a message not too far ago that you would tackle the problems, but i saw nothing coming.
Hope a good solution will be out soon.

I agree . I've found it a real pain in the hiney to sift through the different genre sections instead of having just the one game thread with all the stickies up on the top of the page .

Yeah, i dont go there much purely because it is such a pain. I suspect a lot of other members do the same. It need to be re organised.

I'm afraid I feel the same way. I want one place where I can find all my game news. It takes a lot of time going in and out of sub sections, especially when there are so many.

The trouble is this format will be very good in say 2008 when the PS3 games library is a lot bigger. But for now I’m falling behind because there are too many sections to look through. The PS3 launches in a couple of months in Europe and I have completely lost track of the exclusives that will be coming to the machine.
Being a 360 owner I intend to wait until there are enough exclusives before buying a PS3. The single PS3 games section was the only place I needed to go to get the latest screen shots, trailers, news, opinions and hype.

I agree I like the games section the way it used to be, that way everyone could see everything, at the moment there are people missing certain things including me unless they go in each subsection on a regular basis. I know this is the site owners decision but I hope it get's changed back at some point...

I agree too, don't know what it is but it just doesn't seem as readable now.
I'd like it back to the way it was and Sticky threads for all the big upcomming/current games that are heavily discussed.

I may be new to this forum but I too would like to put my vote in. I'm getting broadband next week, finally, and want to go nuts downloading game trailers and the like, anyway for the future it would be nice not having to **** around with four or five windows open for different games sections.

I have to agree with this. It's gotten to the point where I don't even visit that section anymore, and it really looks "dead" when you first click into it as there maybe 1 or 2 new posts, and then you have to go through 5 sub-sections to see what's new. Please make it back to how it used to be.

I visit that section maybe one time a week, while at TXB I visit the game section first a few times a day. The one here is dead and I've always assumed it is because it is to granular and takes a while to browse.

I prefer the TXB style which has a main game forum for general info and then if the game is huge (Gears, etc) it gets a sub forum for a while.

i hardly visit the games section, its only if ive read all the new threads in the general section that i actualy visit the games section, so that i may further my procrastination

I agree. Traffic visiting the PS3 games section has declined, or so I've thought, since the switch. I don't think that it's really nescescary.

section its a royal pain to have all these annoying sub-sections.

i agree. it was a nice try but its way to specific. as someone said maybe later on when there are a larger variety of games out/coming out. but its too early to have such a specific subforum setup

You should really have posted this in the suggestions forum, but my guess is that you think it will get missed, right?! People post far too much off-topic here because it will get noticed, and people have to stop it. Like, "why did my thread get locked?" topics.

I see your point, but I have absoutely no problem with the way it is structured at the moment. I actually find the various sub-forums a great asset, because it naturally filters out the crap that I'm not interested in seeing. If I want to know the latest goings on in the racing world, I know exactly where to go.

I'm easy either way though. Clearly a few of you don't like the way it is structured now, so please do the right thing, comment in the suggestions forum, and PM the mods. They will accommodate the request if reasonable and there is enough demand.
