Icon Rows

I've noticed that the maximum icon limit below a person's avatar, skill points, posts, and all that other info is 10 icons. To see the rest, you have to click "more...".

In short, I think we should add another row for people's icons, displaying 15 of your icons with each of your posts. The reason people buy icons is to show that they support/are a fan of that particular thing, and if someone buys more than 10 icons then chances are most people won't see what things those people are fans of. I'm sure that most senior members would like this idea, because they are usually the ones with 10+ icons. So any thoughts on this idea?

What about some kind of code to rotate them each time a page is refeshed? Maybe some kind of php code? I know someone on one of my boards who does that with his siggie. Each time the page is refreshed you see a new siggie and avatar. Not sure how this would work for each person though?

Yeah that might be hard to do, I think just making another row of icons visible would probably be easier. I've seen sigs that do that before, actually my old sig had a countdown for Socom 3, each time you refreshed the page it would show the time until it's released from that point. Here it is:

I can easily pick out at least another seven icons that I plan on buying, but I don't think I would buy more than 10 right now because nobody would see them unless if they clicked "more...", which most people probably don't do.

Not sure yet, but the topic is right at the top now, so hopefully a mod or admin will see it.

I think that there should also be an option to sell your icons back to the shop, instead of just giving them away or trading them with other members. Although, the full "resale" value for returning an icon to the shop shouldn't be 1000 skill points, but maybe 500, as they've "depreciated in value"

They used to depriciate but we got fed up with people complaining every 5 minutes that the had accidentally bought the wrong icon and that they had lost skill points becuase of it, so we changed it.

Oh alright, nevermind then. Well what about my original idea, to add another row for icons? Do you think it's possible to do?

Hmm - I've added another row, but I personally don't want the forum to be to dominated by the icons. Perhaps we should do a poll to ask the members how many rows they think is best.

Alright I added a poll to the thread and changed the name, so I guess we'll see what poeple think of it.

So let me get this straight; if I sell an icon, will I get 1000 skill points back?

I like the new added row, but IMO that’s the maximum number of rows we should go up to...
