Hey guys, I'm not sure if enough of us here on the forum play this game still to keep this thread alive but we shall see. Since its one of the best games of all time (at least in my eyes), figured it wouldnt hurt to see how you guys felt about it and maybe some of you still play. I started with this game (the first one) many moons ago and even to this day still renew my account/somewhat play on Diablo 2: LoD. Just curious if anyone else here still plays, what realms your in, and what you think of it.

Its funny these past months went back to playing diablo lod with a friends in uni. Just lan, nothing over battlenet.

Diffinately a great game and one of the best, working on a lvl46 barb and a 24 lightning sorceress.

lmfao, i just did a race with my friend like a week ago, who can get up to like lvl 30 hardcore faster. we both started install and played, then we uninstalled again.

its a classic, but without a new patch or ladder restart, i cant chase up.

Good point illusions, and I agree. While I was angered at first that Blizzard would act so carelessly to the game you have to think...is it really drawing that much revenue for them now? Why go out of their way to update it? The cost/revenue just dont add up. I'd be glad to help anyone who needs it as I've been playing for a good number of years and own virtually everything in that game 4 times over. If anyone is down for playing on USeast let me know.

LOL I didn't know anyone else still played this game? =) I"m playing again... i have a renessance *spelling i know* of sorts going on at the moment, and have a 65 Meteorb goin on. Ahh, Diablo 2. I got it as a christmas present on 2000, those were GREAT TIMES!
I still remember how hard it was to defeat Andariel with a Ultra-badly-built and weak Necromancer(Well what do you expect from a 11 year old ). I remember the celebration when getting into the "desert"(Lut Gholein) . My first character, the necromancer I've been talking about, got to Lut Gholein on level 21 after numerous tries. That was pure non-ownage *Very wide smile*.
I also built a sorceror which was pretty fun to do. The best part was that i got a buckler from rakanishu, a golden buckler which had 40+ defense and other good thingies. From Rakanishu when I was 10 levels! I was on cloud nine when i got the buckler! I remember defeating Andariel with blaze(the flame which follows your character and leaves flame behind). I just ran in the hall around and around as Andariel followed me literally "In Flames".

But farmost the best character I've ever created was(or is, actually) Sir Lancelot, my Paladin. I only played on single player, and I got Sir Lancelot all the way to 62 levels. On single player, that requires A LOTTA PLAY!!( at least 200 hours). I got superior items and so on, that character rocks! I mean, that character is really hard-built and is skilled. My favourite.

I don't usually play on Battle.net, I'm a singleplayer guy all the way, so don't expect to see me there. :

But yeah, Diablo I & II & LOD = One of the best games ever.

I've been playing Diablo since the first one came out.
I don't play nearly as much as more I'm waiting for atleast a ladder reset. :/

Anyway, I'm on U.S East my trophy character being a level 96 Ladder Paladin, TheBanHammer, with near perfect everything, full Combat GCs, and about 4 different sets of gear.

My best character ever being a lvl99 Amazon, Pvp-Necro, in patch 1.09.
OMG good times.

Dont expect a ladder reset...ever for that matter. Blizzard would not draw a profit from fixing the ladders/net only encorperate expenses. All we can do is remember the good times and show off our awesome setups.

You honestly want to know how to rule diablo? Sounds crazy...stock up on either sojs/runes/gc's/bk rings/high uniques. Then you wait 2 months. Put the game in, find out whats the hot and if its what you have an abundance of, sell like mad and get rich. If its not what you have, take out the disc, and then play another game like Morrowind for 2 months.

Yeah thats a good call. If I could honestly pay Blizzard to not have to update them constantly, I'd do it.

A few friends and I used to play this game religiously. It is still one of my all-time faves! I stopped playing about a year ago basically because I was tired of my high runes disappearing on me after trading legit uniques :/

No doubt, thats a big downside to the game. I blame hackers and Blizzard for not updating (although I see why they decided to stop). Just have to keep plugging away and hope for the best. I just do Meph runs so I know what I have is legit.

OMG haha that has to be the best game ive ever played, started at Diablo 1 and got 2 and LoD i had i think like a lvl 85 barb but it eveuntally got boring like around 2003 i think and i stopped and i havent played since but seeing this makes me wanna go back. I am thinkin about getting the new LOTR MMO it looks amazing, find more at lotro.com ive lost most interest in WoW.

I just torrented Battlefield 2142 so I'm bandwidth cautious until April 1st. I also torrented 1.2 GB of other programs. Currently, I'm looking at my shelf and wondering the best racing game to play. Ridge Racer 7 or Gran Turismo 4 for PS2 or F-Zero GX for GCN or Extreme-G III for GCN. When I peaked my skills in gaming in 2002, I played excellent at Extreme-G III. It's been down hill since due to eight failed gaming websites and 3 failed blogs.

The expansion makes and ruins the game. I just wish there was a creature in the game that nobody could kill...and I mean nobody.

My bandwidth is now 128KB/s download via WildBlue so I can't play online with Appolyons w/o dialup legacy cos my upload bandwidth is like 80 KB/s.
