Buena Vista Promotional Website Confirms 'Sin City' Coming To Blu-ray
February 15, 2007
Disney's Blu-ray promotions website (http://video.movies.go.com/bluray) has recently added a new teaser video for several upcoming Blu-ray Disc titles. We already know about 'King Arthur,' 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl,' 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest' and 'The Guardian' seen in the trailer. But astute viewers will notice several clips and even cover art for 'Frank Miller's Sin City,' a welcome addition to the Blu-ray catalog and another A-list title Buena Vista appears to be gunning for in 2007.
At this time we have no additional information on a release date or disc specs. Given Buena Vista announced a fairly thorough catalog slate through June at CES last month, we're thinking 'Sin City' might land in either late summer or early fall. Barring any unforseen production or marketing delays, cover art isn't typically created unless the release date is at max 6-7 months away.
Whenever 'Sin City' lands, we're just happy right now to learn it is coming, and apparently sooner than anyone thought!

Ohhhh man can't wait for this one. The grainy black and white scenes contrasting with the color scenes should look very cool in Hi-Def.

Yet another movie to add to my Blu-Ray collection. Can't wait for them to release this one.
My internet at home has been down for three months, life sucks.

Another popular title to release on blu-ray! I personally thought Sin City was a little overrated, but no one can flaw the cinematography and the comic book feel. I might have to pick this up when I finally get my hands on a PS3.

Jessica Alba is already on HD in "Into the Blue" where she parades around the entire movie in a bathing suit
That was the sole reason why I got the PS3 in the first place...lol..j/k BB had a nice buy one get one free deal and I picked up Into the Blue and Monster House. Not a bad deal if you ask me.
Alba.....droolz.......

Yea yea bumping an almost year old topic.
Curious though if anyone has any information or clue as to when this is actually going to be released. I can't find any information on it aside from the aforementioned article in the OP.
Apparently Disney has the rights to anything released by Digital Dimensions prior to October 1, 2005. This movie was released in April 05. Meaning it should be released for BluRay.
Anyway, was just wondering if anyone had seen or heard any information on this.
