    Splinter Cell Vs Metal Gear

I hope I posted this in the right forum. But I was wondering which series in your view is better. I know they are actualy different kind of stealth. But both lead characters are cool. Thought it would be intresting to see the out come of this.

*This is my first poll with this software, so I hope I did it right.

I voted for Splinter Cell, though I have never played it, just because I can't imagine a game being more awkward than MGS. I always hear that the game itself is great, but the way the controls worked bugged me so much I couldn't get more than 15 minutes into it without throwing it down in disgust and trading it in the next day.

:-O The controls in Splinter Cell I found to be more difficult. Metal Gear is pretty striaght forward as you can get. But maybe thats just me.

MGS has the incredible story, Splinter Cell has some retarted terrorists-are-holding-some-dude-hostage-go-save-him story. The controls for SC are much easier to get used to, but MGS is most definately a better game

    MGS by far.
There are very few games from any genre that i would rate higher than MGS.

lol. MGS is winning by 11 to 1

You would rate MGS worse than nothing!? I mean how else could you say that Splinter cell is better since you havent even played it.

I don't get what people have with the controls of Metal Gear Solid. I have always found them easy to use. Whatever though. I guess the only hard part is holding square down half-way to aim with your gun instead of just shooting everywhere.

Oh and I voted for Metal Gear Solid. It actually has a storyline, and is fun to play. It also isn't insanely dark like Splinter Cell is. Dark games get boring and old rather quickly. I wasn't sure if I would ever make it through Doom 3 because it was so dark.

did you know that if you hold triangle while holding down square it's putting the safety on?

Example: say you've got a machine gun, if you hold triangle while holding square you don't fire out of it (think it's the safety button).

Probably makes the controlling that little bit more difficult but just thought i'd share my info.
    Big Boss Emblem FTW!

Now that you mention it, I remember doing that before when I first played MGS2. I completely forgot about it by the time I played MGS again after I beat that one. Thanks for the information though. But now I see no reason why the MGS controls are hard. lol.
