    Nintendo Roundtable

You've already read and reread our hands-on impressions with Nintendo's ambitious controller for their upcoming next-generation Revolution controller, but we're only just starting to realize its possible implications for Nintendo and gaming at large. 1UP managed to pull aside Electronic Gaming Monthly's Executive Editor Mark McDonald (who has actually touched Revolution's controller), Ziff Davis Editorial Director John Davison, 1UP Community Manager Kimi Matsuzaki and Ziff Davis Art Director Simon Cox to pool their collective thoughts on the possibilities. Each has their own differing opinion on what Revolution means for the industry. Will it change the way we play games? Is this Nintendo's way of simply accepting its position as 3rd place in the hardware race? Is the Revolution controller a good idea that will take a company like Sony to do it right? There's plenty of questions and precious few answers, but make sure to download our editor roundtable for a look at what our editors think might happen.

    ah yea, this! ^_^

I saw this earlier today... and I'm a little disapointed in 1up... they didn't give us anything we didn't already know in that silly video...

I would like to point out this article... lol

It seems to suggest Nintendo still has some more things up their sleive... lol Will they be keeping the name Revolution, or is there some other inovative features that will justify a different name? (though, I like Revolution just fineXD)

Yeah, if you read that guy's article for 1up that's pretty much all the info in that video...

There are great possibilities for this controller, I think fps will be one of them... No console controller can ever simulate a keyboard/mouse for a fps, if this system can do that to a fairly close degree I will call it a success.

Then again how many great fps games does nintendo have... I would say 1... it looks like it may be time for MarioZone or something like that

The controller has incredible possibilities... so many infact that it makes me happy when I think of it... but that's all they are right now, possibilities... im wondering if the industry (outside of nintendo) will be able to embrace this controller...

Also if you would like to read a real article with some great ideas http://lostgarden.com/2005/09/ninten...-strategy.html is amazing... almost deserving of its own thread...
    I miss my dreamcast.

CX1, that article you linked backs up everything I've been saying all along. It's amazing to see some people who have "moved on" from cosnole gaming are expressing interest in the Revolution.

I knew Nintendo was going to win back some people, but boards everywhere are starting to populate with people in their late twenties and early thirties who gave up on gaming. All of them are saying that they will buy a Rev. It's extraordinary what Nintendo is doing. They breathe new life in the gaming industry every time they make a bold move like this.

[Live] South Park to feature Guitar Hero in next episode

South Park to feature Guitar Hero in next episode
    By: Justin Pinter

An all new episode of South Park airs this Wednesday, continuing their gaming homage with an episode based around Guitar Hero. Entitled "Guitar Queer-o", Stan and Kyle are hooked on this new game, Guitar Hero. However due to Stan’s superior skills on the video game, things get damaged in his friendship with Kyle.

If you've been watching South Park over the years, you've seen them cover everything from the Wii to World of WarCraft and from the sounds of it, this is an episode you won't want to miss. Here is a picture of Stan's dad, Randy obviously enticed by Guitar Hero:

Stay tuned to Comedy Central, Wednesday night at 10pm.
