I've only had Windows as an OS for as long as i've had a computer. So i'm voting Windows but i remain open to Linux...I don't have an Apple so i don't have Mac.

I personally HATE windows, but its hard to get all the stuff i have on windows on linux.
So im saying windows...Working on a new sig...

Im saying Linux
Everything i used to do on Windows i can do on Linux, as well as a tonne more things now
And i can do it without Linux crashing every week or so, i can have Linux up for weeks on end with no slow down at all, longest ive had it on was 9 weeks, but i had to move it so i turned it off
Windows XP SP2 was actually pretty good, but i just still dont like Windows compared to Linux.
MacOS is pretty okay, not used it fully or had my own computer with it, but its pretty neat.
I want to use that OS that Sun Microsystems made, cant remember the name, Solaris i think?
I have no signature.
No, really, i don't. You're just imagining this.

I have had Windows forever so I voted for that. Linux I will give a try as soon as I can get it running and Mac=Not for me at all. The old, old Mac OS (from 198
is horrible and hate it a lot. If I put to many things on it then it will not work. It stopped working after 2 years.

House do you mean, "I'd prefer anything but windows." Cause you kinda contradict yourself witht hat 3rd sentence of yours...
Yeah, i'm afraid to use Linux, personally. I know absolutly nothing about it."It's real hard to be free when you are bought and sold in the marketplace.

Windows. I've never tried Linux nor Macs, so I think I'll just vote for Windows (I know Windows isn't perfect, but oh well).

How would you go about installing it though? I mean Not too many manufactuerers offer Linux as an OS...Would it over-write your current OS? Explain.

I chose Linux although I haven't ever used it, but from what I hear, it's better than Windows, if you still want Windows then just customize it to that type of look or something like that. The only things I've used was Windows and Mac, Mac is okay in my opinion, it's kinda cool with the quick launch thing. Heh, it runs pretty good. I've had very bad experiences with Windows, I get viruses so quick. Even with my new computer, I just got on to go to a few websites to check my e-mail and to download FireFox. And already, I had like minor viruses. I'd rather not have any.

Well windows is great for the average user, but its not really safe. Linux is more for programmers who know C++ and stuff.

I think people are voting mainly one two reasons;

I personaly have Windows XP Pro and have no real problems with it. But have many friends that do. Windows certainly isn't the best OS but sadly it is the most used.

Growing up Windows is all I ever used, so I have to say it is what I am most comfortable with. I havn't had the ability to use Linux very much so I can't really say anything about that. However, I can say that I am not a huge fan of any Mac OS.
(Funny part is that as I write this I am on a Mac in my Graphics class!

I prefer Windows not so much for it security (duh), but for its user friendlyness.

Linux all the way. One day, someone will actually spend money on a distro of Linux that looks polished and it will be game over for Windows. I cross my fingers that people like ChocoboKid will try it on their PS3s or old PCs just to check it out and it catches on.
Putting your security in the hands of someone else is just ludicrous to me. I enjoy the open source community deeply. I guess what Im trying to say is, once you get into Linux you will find yourself a member of a community instead of just another end user. The difference between Windows and Linux is as much a philisophical difference than just the sum of its parts.

I have used only Windows but would like to try linux-it looks cool
If it looks good, you'll see it. If it sounds good, you'll hear it. If it's marketed right, you'll buy it. But if it's real, you feel it.

The Linux "Phenomenon" (sort of) has got me too...
My reasons are:
ALOT less crashes, barely any spyware (i go on obvious spyware sites :P)
for me it's alot easier to navigate around and all... and err...
YEAH!
P.S people.. get out of the windows circle!
they keep promising (atleast they have to me!) an efficient OS..
and frankly, im tired.
