God of war 2 got a 9.5 out of 10 from gametrailers! I will definately pick this game up.

You really should pick up the first one before playing this one. Its a greatest hits so it should be around $20. I got mine for $14 on boxing day. Best video game purchase i have ever made.

Glad to see the second GOW is just as brutal, if more so. Glowing review, you couldn't wish for anything more from a game.

anyone play the demo disc of god of war 2?? it is cheating, but I couldn't resist when i got it after prepaying for a copy at gamestop. The game is sick; however, i hope its just b/c its a demo dsic, but the game has some weird background flickering. Actually, it is mentioned in the gametrailer review. they said it is because the game pushed the ps2 to the limit. But man, its bad in the demo disc

It's called screen tearing, you've probably heard about 'Vertical-Sync', it's the tech you normally use to get a rid of it, but I'm afraid that the PS2 is not capable of it.
Regardless it's not going to ruin my experience.

I gotta wait for a couple of months before I can afford this:
-PS3
-Logitech surround
-Motorstorm
-Call Of Duty 3 (360 version because PS3 version has framerate probelms)
-Resistance

I guess I can stop by at the mall tomorrow and pick it up. I seen it the other week for 9$, I was close to buying it then but I decided against after letting my mind wander back to God of War II.

Why buy God of War when I can buy the undoubtfully superior God of War II?

Because you can't get even half of the plot and the fun out of GOW2 if you haven't played original GOW. And seriously, that probably is the best PS2 game in my shelf. AT LEAST ON TOP 3(Other best games are FFX, San Andreas and maybe Smackdown SYM(at the time(when I was a total wrestling-mark(because I was mark I could enjoy it more(lol))))).

I would like to buy it but all the money I owned has just gone to the PS3, and I do have to pay off that phone bill

The first one I bought pre-owned for around a tenner. Awesome choice, one of the best games I own.

2nd one looks great. I read the review in OPS2, the screenshots look awesome.

Regardless it is a must own game for me. Now I don't have to make a resolution vs. rumble decision on which system to play it on.

It's been getting 9.5s and 10s all over the place. I really want this game but it's hard to spend money on such an old system, guess I have no choice though.
