I was hoping the rumors of him being broke wasn't true, but this pretty much confirms it.

Kobe would have to win 9 more MVP's on top of the 0 he's already won to even be near considered "The next Jordan"...

Kobe Bryant will never be considered the next Jordan. How can you be the next Jordan when he doesn't even revolutionize the way the game is played? He's merely trying to follow Jordan's foot steps. All these players now in the NBA are great, but no one will revolutionize the game like MJ did, they will have to do it in their own unique ways. PERIOD.

And honestly, as an old Bulls fan, I have no idea why Scottie would want to come back. He has nothing else to prove.

MJ is better in my opinion, but Kobe is nearly at the same level. NEARLY not above.

And yes, I still remember when MJ won his 9Billion Championships even though I wasn't even in double digits years old.

This story is as old as Scottie. The only way the Lakers would take him, is if they have no one left on the team.

Usually people come back to win a ring or prove something... But he has a ring, and needs to prove nothing.

I thought he just wanted West back in LA. And if he does demand a trade, why Memphis? Who do they have and why would they want Kobe in the first place. I don't see Kobe in anything but purple and gold for the rest of his career
